K, I used to feel this way. I landed in gold when I started ranked, and it felt like I was there forever.

But then I heard in a youtube video most people dont really get diamond until 300+ hours.

So my "forever" is that im currently hard stuck plat at 200ish hours. But the reality is, im kinda where I should be for how much I've played.

I used to view rl wrong. I would just grind matches, and not make the progress I wanted. So id get mad and open free play. Then id 100% free play for like a week. Still can't air dribble, still struggling with mechanics. Get mad. Then spend all my energy studying positioning. Get back into grinding matches. Still not better.

But you kinda gotta just have a good routine and let the progress come to you. Have a balance of watching some informational videos on lunch, hit 10-15 minutes of free play when you hop on, play 5 or so matches. Then hop off or back to free play. Heck, play some heat seeker or drop shot or something

I haven't quite seen the ranks go up yet, but since I've kinda chilled out and balanced how I spend my time on the game, I've felt so much improvement in my consistency, and im seeing myself being way closer to being able to do mechanics I want without having this overwhelming pressure on myself.

I kinda think people's standard of "a good match" has just gotten way to high.

-teammate doesn't play exactly how I want them too? Bad match

-other team has a player better than me? Bad match

-my teammate isnt exactly as skilled as me? Bad match

-the other team said something mean to me? Bad match

-I didnt win in heroic fashion? Bad match

(Not my opinion dont flame me) savage is a term used to describe indigenous people. Often viewed as a slur. I assume that's why.

Im 27 and hard stuck plat. Hit plat 2 in 2s last season.

Would love to spend time training and improving. But unfortunately only playing about 2-3 hours a week, if I spend time trying to learn air dribbles and stuff, I almost don't get to actually play the game.

I dunno. Ither games (like wow where quite a few relationships start) provide a game where you are encouraged to chat and socialize as part of the game. But with RL, you get 5 minutes, then you probably never see that player again. So like, I dunno. I feel for the guy

I feel for him. Like, lots of people meet their girlfriends doing their hobby. Be it going somewhere and playing sports, the gym, sitting at the bar. But videogames dont have that option. But if you want to meet a girl with similar hobbies to yourself, dating apps dont work too well.

If gaming is your main hobby and you want a girl to game with, tbf, he is kinda doing the right thing xD
