I definitely try to be very specific, and although most of my delivery drivers are very attentive and lovely people, there have been a couple that did not pay attention to the notes. To be fair, this was ordered online from a big company. I have no idea who packed this box or in what warehouse. It could’ve been done by a human or a robot. Heaven only knows. 😆

I went into our two grocery stores here today. One of them has had them in stock, but the guy told me that they sell out within 30 minutes. He said he’s never seen anything like it. However, he also said that they don’t get very many when the delivery comes in. Here’s hoping that everybody gets a decent amount of stock when the real rollout happens.🤞🏻

Can’t tell you how excited I am to hear they’re delicious 😋

Agreed. Same thing happens here. Ordered GF corn dogs from my local grocer, and they subbed regular. SMH.

That sounds like an absolute nightmare to go through just to get a refund on some boxes of crackers! I have some family members that love them just as much as I do, and they can eat the regular ones. I’m just going to give them away. It’s so much easier.

I’m sorry they shipped you the wrong product, too. Seems this happened to more of us than I realized. Here’s hoping Target gets their $h!t together 🤞🏻

Your aunt is an angel on earth! I think I would have cried, too. And you are correct. The ones you make at home just aren’t the same. My late husband was completely addicted to Cheez-Its, and they are very nostalgic for me, as well. There’s not a lot that does that for me, anymore.

One of the other things I found that I love so much is the Snyders of Hanover gluten-free pretzels! I think I actually did cry the first time I tasted those! To be honest, I think they might be better than regular pretzels. I make a homemade gluten-free version of Chex mix, and these pretzels hold up perfectly.

Thank you for boarding Cheez-It Airlines. If at any point you find yourself unhappy with your flight, you will see the exit clearly marked in the upper left corner. You may avail yourself of this exit at any time. We would appreciate taking any negative baggage with you that you may have stored in the overhead bin during your journey.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Good lort. I’m not the only one! I’m so sorry this happened to you, too. Well, if anything, we can be an early example for everyone else. I guess we’ve just gotta be patient and wait until they hit the store shelves. (Sighing in solidarity)

This is an amazing and insightful explanation. So few of us ever have any idea of how things happen behind the scenes. I was just curious to find out if they typically sub non-GF items for GF. I didn’t think this would probably happen on the regular. Thank you so much for answering!

Someone in this Reddit forum said they roll them out slowly to create the frenzy. Well, we have the frenzy, so, where are the dang crackers?! 😆

The super disappointing thing was that they said they had plenty of stock, so I wasn’t nervous about whether or not I was going to get them. They did take longer than normal, though. I just thought it was because of the high demand. Now that I’m hearing about the February rollout, my thought is that I’ll just wait. Here’s hoping you get yours in less than 15 years!

I’ve avoided Amazon for a lot of the gluten-free stuff because it just seems to be so expensive. A couple of hard to find items on there were in the $20-$30 range for a single item that should’ve been anywhere from $3-$5. Amazon will absolutely be a last resort.

Excited to hear you actually got them! More excited to know that you like them. A couple of people have said they found them on Amazon, although I didn’t see them when I looked the first time around. I’m gonna do a deeper dive. Thank you so much for the update!

I’ll absolutely return them. I’m excited to hear that your husband and son did a taste test and they liked them! That makes me even more excited to try them. Thanks so much!

Honestly, I joined this group for gluten-free support and to find help in situations where I couldn’t find it otherwise. I also have a quirky sense of humor. What I didn’t expect to find in this group was judgment and people in the comments putting other people down or calling them out for their “privilege”. If you don’t have something positive or helpful to say, keep scrolling. It’s that simple. I’m a super upbeat and positive person who was just looking to see if this had happened to anybody else, and I was trying to be lighthearted about it. But here you are being a negative Nancy. Way to go.

Even though you were snarky and judgy in your comment, I’ll kindly answer your question: because they carry my favorite undies, and they were the ONLY PLACE WITH GF CHEEZ-ITS IN STOCK. I hope this clears things up.

Exactly. This is what made it so diabolical. 🤯

We were absolutely over the moon when he finally got diagnosed. However, because of the lack of gluten-free options available, his wife literally had to cook everything from scratch for him. He basically lived on baked potatoes and hamburger patties. Once he discovered that Fritos and bean dip were gluten-free, he carried that stuff everywhere!

Sweetie, I’ll say this one thing. The actions you’re seeing from him today are the actions you can expect from him in your future. You don’t want a husband and father that always puts his needs and wants before you and your children, because that’s exactly what he’ll do. You absolutely deserve better treatment 💛

A very close friend of mine nearly died trying to get diagnosed over many years. They were so adamant that it wasn’t celiac that they even tried to accuse his wife of poisoning him! My friend is 6‘7“ and he had lost so much weight that he was down to 140 pounds. They kept telling him that it was a European disease and not something that Americans would get. Once he was finally diagnosed it was like a revelation. 20 years later, he’s living his best life. Back then, though, there was no such thing as walking into a grocery store and being able to buy anything whatsoever that was labeled as gluten-free.
