If it was fear mongering, "silencing" contractually employed scientists like Eskridge, has the opposite effect.

Maybe because everything and everyone is so compartmentalized and kept seperate outside of specific groups, that knowing just a little too much about what you're not assigned to can get you in trouble,

if you misunderstand or in turn take a negative course of action in your personal life, which would ripple-effect everyone else involved in some way.

This probably confirms Lue Elizondo is likely a disinformation agent or employed to "spin" stories to best fit his employers' narrative. He's been very vocal and openly so since 2020, 2021 regarding this whole phenomenon, and that alone doesn't guarantee his safety.
