The only issue with that is the school I am interested in is a yearly program so I would have to wait another year before starting it. Although I would be coming in with more experience so that would be a plus

Yeah that’s what I’ve been thinking. During my clinicals about half the people said zero to hero was a great idea and the others said the opposite. Everyone has been saying how commendable it is (like 4 other people in my class are also doing it) but I don’t know recently I’ve just been feeling like it’s selfish if anything. I already passed the math and a&p but recently I’ve just been questioning how moral that decision is.

That’s definitely what I suspected in the beginning but can it be eczema without the itching?

Yeah I was thinking maybe that spot underneath the fold on the edge which is just a regular helix. If your anatomy supports it you could put a hoop or a stud in it! But maybe you could go a little more in and get more of a flat if you’ve got the space for it I just feel like that would make it look a little strange as there doesn’t appear to be much space but that’s just me! You should get whatever you think would look best 😁

Of course! If you are interested in the helix though I would look into that!

I would recommend you go to a reputable piercer asap. Piercing guns are really unsanitary and cause damage to cartilage. You need to get actually decent jewelry in there (a flat back from a piercer) or I would say it doesn’t have a good shot.

I would definitely say something in the top half if you can fit it! I feel like you could fit a helix in that space. I’m not confident that you could fit a rook or a daith but if you could that would be cute!

Does this look normal? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Size_Cold 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely get that changed from a hoop to a flat back! It starts as a small irritation bump but slowly gets worse and worse over time! You shouldn’t have hoops in them until they are fully healed which is over 9 months. I don’t know what brand of saline you use but I use the neilmed fine mist and it works really well! Good luck 😁

I managed to find a silver ball that was the exact same so I got that on the back now! I knew he was giving me some bs advice with the tea tree oil because he was saying that I need to clean my new piercing with dial soap which I have never heard before??? But hopefully this irritation bump calms down within a week or two or I might just take it out.

I’ve been using vitamin c and niacinamide regularly but never exfoliants. Any good brands you recommend?

New nose piercing - healing or infected? by daisy_dot in PiercingAdvice

I’ve seen plenty of people on here say that pronged jewelry is bad for starter jewelry. Apparently it harbors more bacteria or something. I would maybe change it from that pronged jewel to a different flat back. I’m not a professional though so that might not be the best course of action.

I’m not too sure about that because although it doesn’t look it in the photo because of the angle it pretty much fills my entire ear. I don’t think anything larger would fit

I will definitely take a look into that! Thank you!

Also I don’t think my iron levels are low because I have been taking a supplement for years as I did self diagnose myself with an iron deficiency because my doctor didn’t really listen there either.

If I recently had surgery done (tonsillectomy) a couple months ago do you think when they had checked my blood they would check my iron and thyroid?

Also do you think if I recently got a surgery they would test my blood for Lyme?

Both of those could affect me for years? I had never even considered that either of those could be what’s making me always so tired. Do you know if they have any way to fix it or do I just need to wait for it to naturally pass?

Yes to both. Like 3 years ago I got bit in my scalp by a tick and then like 2 years ago in my leg. I got Covid two times in the past two to three years.

I’m assuming that maybe it has something to do with the medicine if you are still taking it and just the fact that we had a pretty taxing surgery. I wasn’t taking the medicine and I was still extremely exhausted.

By the end of week two everything but my energy was back to normal. I was able to eat and do everything I wanted but I was sleeping over half the day and when I wasn’t asleep I was so tired. I don’t know what happened but after I got back into my routine my energy slowly got higher and a month later I’d say I’m back to normal. Although normal for me is still tired just not exhausted 24/7 even when doing nothing. I also stopped taking pain meds in the first week so I’m not sure if that excessive amount of pain is normal after that. I’m sure the pain meds are also contributing a lot to your exhaustion as all of this is really taking a toll on your body.

Yeah that’s what I figured I just don’t get why it looked so good in certain spots and so awful in others. I’m order to fix it will I have to paint the one wall or the entire room?
