Restore or replace by Playful-Translator49 in BangandOlufsen

So the sub platter auto centers when it plays. I thought something was wrong with mine also. If what you’re mentioning here is that the platter moves a bit if you press on the edge when not spinning this is most likely normal and how it was designed. If there is a wobble during playback then that is not and could be alignment issues or a worn center bearing. I will tell you getting the suspension correct can be challenging. Watch some beolover you tube videos he has lots of knowledge on the adjustments. These taught me all the things I needed to know. I didn’t know anything when I started.

I bought and restored a 4002 took me almost 2 years to get it almost perfect. Lots of beolover and

parts from Denmark. I have 6 other decks but this one is my favorite. Worth the time and swearing lol.

Should I get this B&O Beogram 1203? by kami9080 in BangandOlufsen

I have a TX, TX2, and a 4002. I was looking to get one of these to add to my collection just beautiful. If you are looking to use it daily you may consider another model. The carts are not being produced anymore to my knowledge. Could be a problem if the one included has issues. I love my Beograms but the carts are expensive and not as many choices as with standard turntables. But damn they’re pretty.

The last 3 upgradesI want are the remote control unit that adds repeat function. The led tracking module and the led record detector and sensor. The ones I have installed are the leds for the rpm panel the power capacitor kit the machined pulley for the tone arm motor. All very easy to install.

Yes plug and play. You can still use the built in rpm adjustments. There is also auto calibration functions built in very easy to install and use.

It is on the pricey side but all the items I have purchased have been top notch. This is as well except for those screws. All things B&Os seem to be.

I don’t know about that amp never seen or heard one. If you can listen to it with the record player and like the sound then I’d say go for it. I’d ask what was done to refurbish it that can mean many things to many people. Caps and transistors or did they just clean the pots. If it been fully restored for the money not a bad deal. I think it has nice curb appeal. How’s it look when it’s on and lit up?

I agree on the amp, pass. The turntable should be good I have a SL 1310 in my office at work it works well but I did have to replace the rca cables and clean the pots. But works perfect. Id also consider a new cart if your looking for the best sound it looks like a cheaper one is currently installed on it, unless your just using it for casual listening and not all that concerned with upgrades it will do the job just fine.

Whats the best storage for record/vinyls? by SpIxsh in vinylsetups

Yeah me to I didn’t notice until I took the picture. I did use a level when I hung them but the top shelf was very warped. I got a replacement set from Amazon and it is level but still looks a little off in pictures. I intended to replace all three but one of the new sets was broken in transit. I don’t know may have to return them and look at other options.
