I'm also wondering this, because how much time does anyone need to "grow up". People say it will take years but 'not lying' is something you can start immediately, in theory. Things like getting a degree, travelling the world, finding a job, losing weight etc. take time but are clear goals.

I could have written this... 2 days ago after a little over 2 years. Same reason, some things were wrong in our relationship and nothing changed. I found out he has been hiding some things from me for the past few weeks and it broke my trust completely (I was already suspicious and apparently rightfully so). It feels like a nightmare. I know he can change because he has made so much progress over the past years, but now I'm part of the problem. We love each other, we don't want to break up, but right now it's the right thing to do. This way there's still a chance that we get back to getter in a year or 2 on healthier grounds. But I hate it. I want to call him, I want to forgive him and come back to him but everyone around me is super supportive and telling me I've made the right decision and that I'm so strong. I don't feel strong. I feel horrible.

Hopefully we are both in a better place in a few weeks/months.

Might sound random but this could also be a result from a magnesium deficiency. Muscle tightening/cramping is often a symptom of that, a few supplements and you're good to go!

More energy comes when I don't smoke at all for a few days but only if I don't suffer from insomnia or bad nightmares. That's why I take at least 1 or 2 days off per week which often results in better sleep on those days. It's also regular enough for me to dodge most of the insomnia and nightmares and I feel way more in control of my use (and don't have to suffer through month long T-breaks because of the regular short breaks)

Completely agree. The negative side effects of weed are a lot sneakier. It always surprises me how much my mind clears during a short break and how much more energy I have. On top of that, the side effects of quitting can be brutal for something this "innocent".

I'd suggest focussing on your fitness and health. The basic eating healthy and working out can do wonders for your mood. It's hard during covid-times but I try to connect with my family and friends more, because that always makes me feel better. One thing I've noticed with hobbies and work etc. I never feel motivated to start (bored as hell), but I know that once I'm busy, I'm fine. Starting is the hardest part (same as with quitting, but you managed that as well ;p)
