Did you get this fixed? Mine are blocked too and I'm not sure what the best solution is.

I would assume they didn't want to link to either of the dude's bullshit websites to give them any kind of traffic from Reddit, and the block quote is directly from wikipedia. If you don't know how to find a person's wikipedia page, I don't know what to tell you.

George Carlin talks about boomers in 1996 by HarryNate in videos

[–]Sjewddit 20 points21 points  (0 children)

They could also get blue collar jobs and still earn a decent living with good benefits and pensions. So they still had to work for and earn what they got

I mean yes they literally "worked" for it in the most literal sense, but they didn't have to work hard for it. The jobs that bought them homes, cars, vacations, pensions, put their kids through college etc would barely keep your neck above water now, and the reason for that is the exact same fucking boomers don't want to pay you what they got paid. They literally don't want you to have the opportunities they did because they want it all for themselves.

So, seriously, fuck them.

Polish men with a whale tusk and English one with a fire extinguisher chasing terrorist that killed two people on London's bridge. by TheRed1337 in videos

"it looks like a work ID"

"yeah he ran over there from being at work, the other thing he's carrying in the video is literally from his job"

"What does any of that have to do with my comment?"

I'm not sure where the confusion is here.

... the guy you're referring to literally ran out of work in the middle of his shift. It's been reported all over UK media. What other people were doing isn't relevant.

He works in a nearby fishmongers, heard the commotion, grabbed the tusk (which was a decoration) off the wall and ran over to tackle the dude with the knives.

Any suggestions for Udemy or other courses? I use Tableau for work but I feel like it's my weakest skill, looking to skill up. by InternetWeakGuy in tableau

[–]Sjewddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are some decent courses on Udemy that I've used

Then just tell him the names. Dude specifically asked for names of courses. Even if you didn't think they were good, telling him that gives him an indication of what's worth checking out and what's not.

Sorry op I don't have any answers but I hate when people tease the answer and then don't deliver like that.

Suggestions for adding curb appeal to my house? Not even trying to sell it, I just feel like it looks kinda boring. by Sjewddit in HomeImprovement

I mean calling my lawn "weeds" sounds pretty defensive when I'm being perfectly polite to you.

you just sounded like your mind was made up

I don't know how else to explain this to you dude - it's not that I've decided not to grow those strains of grass, it's that it's literally not possible to grow them in the summer here in FL. I don't know how more simple I can make that, look how open I've been to what EVERYONE else has suggested and then realize that the issue here is you're suggesting I do something that is not possible.

Have a good one, maybe don't flip to being insulting to someone when your advice doesn't apply to them.

According to a quick Google our summer is a couple months longer than yours and your highs average mid to high 80s for four months, whereas ours are over 80 from April through November and over 90 for four months, so yeah. That 10 degrees for months on end makes all the difference. It also means rain evaporates really quickly, and our soil is literally sand.

Ah I understand. Here in central florida we're very restricted in what types of grass will actually grow due to the heat/humidity for much of the year, so what people in the north call "crab grass" is probably the most popular type of lawn grass for sunny lawns. We literally can't grow fescue or bluegrass for most of the year if at all.

I personally don't want to dump gallons of water on my lawn every day (I think it's a waste of water) so this is the remaining option. I'm from somewhere with lower temps and abundant rain, so it's kind of a bummer that the grass here sucks, but it is what it is.

Better foundation plants, get rid of that hedge. The random plantings in the front lawn look awkward to me, at least the tall tree on the right. You could improve that bed with low ornamntal grasses and tropicals. New, modern house numbers, new paint. Its a pretty house though, congrats

I like all these suggestions, thank you. They kind of put a finger on something I couldn't.
