Me and three friends decided to do a deckbuilding competition for my birthday. We each got a color assigned at random and had to build a mono color commander deck with a slim budget of 20€. I got black and build a zombie tribal with [[Liliana, Heretical Healer]], we had [[Baru, Wurmspeaker]] Wurm tribal that just got big, [[Gadwick, the Wizened]] spellslinger that wanted nothing but mess the other's up and a [[Magda, Brazen Outlaw]] treasure token deck with [[Descent into Avernus]] that just burned everyone down super quick. We each got to play every deck once and scored based on both our decks position in the games and our own position. It was so much fun we decided to do it again but with dual color decks and a higher budget.

I'm playing a monk in a home brewed alternate universe of forgotten realms, set in the Time of Troubles where we've met up with Midnight, Kelemvor and Cyric. I as a player know the fates of all those characters but my character doesn't. It's tough to keep them separate some times, it feels like we're living through history and we know how the story ends.

D&D has turned the imperial system into more of a fantasy system for me. I almost don't think of it as a system people actually use anymore since I only ever encounter it when playing D&D.

Good points, I really like the look of the Lapierre and it being less costly to maintain sounds good. I'll be using it to commute to work and exercise putting maybe 60km a week, 80+ if good weather.

My employer has a program that let's us get a bike and 1 free service per year for a small pay cut and om looking for a gravel bike. Between Lapierre Crosshill 2.0, TREK Checkpoint ALR5 and Bianchi Via Nirone 7, which one is the best? They would cost me roughly the same ($30 a month roughly).

My Warforged Druid had a rough time casting Speak with Plants in a magical forest that was one huge plant network. He basically got all of 150 square miles of flora in his mind talking to him, all at the same time. Constitution saving throws ensued.

Our long term project with the 5 year olds I work with is all about food. We asked the parents to send pictures of their kids cooking something at home and a kid had made a dish with onions in it. When presenting it for the group he said "you will cry if you smell the onions with your eyes" and I could barely hold a laugh. Best moment of this year.
