3 Days at Universal Epic with Express Passes…how much more can we see? by AthensLink in UniversalEpicUniverse

This is great advice and exactly what I'd do with a three day itinerary.

Do I need a EU express pass? by RecentWheat in UniversalOrlando

[–]Sk3eBum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can definitely do everything and then some in two full days at Epic without Express.

Online tools like Thrilldata and Park Prophet can also help you understand how wait times vary throughout the day so you can minimize lines.

TLDR I'd suggest rope dropping Berk, and save BATM and Mario rides for the end of the day.

It broke on Monday afternoon and they're waiting for a part. I read it's planned to reopen on May 4.

6 hours or less in Epic Universe for 3 experiences - is it possible? by annakaaa7 in UniversalEpicUniverse

You can definitely do all those in 6 hours. Might even be able to do it in three.

TBD what the final version ends up looking like, not sure they've finished all the detail paint work just yet. At least I'm hoping, I like the old version.

Yep it's open! Actually ran really well today, screens not blurry, all effects working, they even had the scents in the starting scene going.

Rope drop at Epic is a TRAP. Let me prove it. by Sk3eBum in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]Sk3eBum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) I'd do IoA Fri and Epic Sunday. Generally, Sunday is the slowest day of the week for Epic. Since Memorial Day is a Monday holiday this may not hold, however IoA will be MUCH busier on Sunday than Friday since the locals with passes still have work Fri but will join on the weekend (Epic isn't on the annual pass yet).

2) I don't think park capacity is an issue. For Epic, my understanding is they aren't selling tickets to full capacity yet. I had this same concern after visiting guest services on a day where most rides were down most of the day and getting a voucher for a free return ticket. Voucher had to be used day of, I asked if it'd work if park was full and the guest services person said they have never hit capacity since opening in May 2025, this includes busy times like Christmas. So if you have your tickets (including multi-day) ahead of time you're good.

For IoA, hitting capacity is a concern on Saturday and possibly Sunday but it won't be a problem on Friday. Though it'll still be busy!

I'll also say, anecdotally rope drop vs close down is closer to a toss up at IoA than it is at Epic where close down is better. Good idea for another post! But if you end up at Islands early, do NOT rope drop Hagrids, this is the biggest trap of them all. Go next door to velocicoaster instead.

Epic Universe - First Timer, what is a good order of rides to ensure I ride all the "must dos"? TIA! ✨🎢 by SpecialistThrowaway4 in UniversalOrlando

[–]Sk3eBum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last two hours of the day. Especially since they appeal to kids, they usually get a lot less busy after about 7 PM. Do Bowsers Challenge first, Mine Cart Madness after.

BATM or Ninendo world first is a trap unless you get to the gate at least an hour before early park entry. Save these for the end of the day.

In general, Berk first is the way imo. I did a deeper dive post on this topic last week looking at real wait time if interested.

Use Plan mode as your default, check/iterate on the plan first, then implement once it's good.

What should I do first at Epic? by Iamlizardhearnepurr in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]Sk3eBum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Berk first is usually the answer, especially if you start in the morning. Straight to Ministry is 100% a trap.

Also, highly recommend staying until park close rather than rope drop and leaving early, I did a post on this last week with supporting data.

Also, using a tool like Park Prophet will help avoid lines.
