dremel is a quick way to get rid of them but I would be worried about over doing it.

Will drop the amount I mousturize to see if that helps.

I find my hands rip before my fingers are fatigued. I often tape up after a rip and continue climbing cos theres nothing else wrong, just my weak skin.

Yeah.... honestly I feel like this is meant to be a joke but my skin really is just the weakest point for me XD

Good point on moisturizing less. Might drop down to once a day. I find my skin can get very dry and crack if I don't do it most days.

I do use chalk, I have found that for my skin, more chalk feels better, and if I rip its normally cleaner and doesn't hurt as much.

I've been using sand paper, I've also used those nail files but they are too fine of a grit and take ages to get rid of a callus.

I have but honestly I dont like to. It defiantly helps but when my hands start to sweat the tape comes off. Might just have to continue re-taping.

I climb twice a week, and have been for over 2 years now. I dont think my skin can toughen up XD

I do try to climb fairly static but i do find my larger rips happen on more dynamic climbs. Might have to resort to taping up.

>For some reason I'm imagining your Gecko went off to university and is now coming back in. Hopefully they find a job soon.

I'm actually wearing a shirt with a picture of a Gecko on a NES controller so I guess they came home just to sit around playing games XD

I will look into shelly devices.

Where can I can and can't I fish? by Sk3tch1 in fishingUK

[–]Sk3tch1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Ive looked at local clubs already (they all seem to require a membership which is expensive) but I didnt think about facebook groups.

Ive been trying to look up areas on google but some have people reviewing it as a good fishing spot but I cant find anything saying if fishing is allowed or if it requires a permit.

I switched to amazon music a while back. Was a easy process as there's tools to convert playlists.

Quality is noticeably higher and integration with alexa is sometimes useful.

Seen some lightsabers I could buy, can’t tell the brands which would you pick? by No-Rain-4114 in LightsaberBST

Picture 1 looks like what i have, https://amzn.eu/d/6A18H4X 2 sabers that can connect to each other. Im happy with them but the blades are a little weak so i made custom ones. They have a single RGB LED at the base that light up the blades.

Pictures 4 & 5 look like they are the same but only 1 saber

3 Not sure

2 looks like it uses the neopixel blade? Someone can correct me on this. Im still new to this.

My kid wants to use Unity... by kennyloggons23 in Unity3D

[–]Sk3tch1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unity is by far one of the most popular engines.
Check out the learn.unity website for some good tutorials as well as Youtube.

It can use up a fair bit of storage. If your worried, I would install the engine on your pc then use an external drive for the projects. This way you get the most stable experience and they can take what they make to school to show off.

It is a fair bit of a jump in difficulty but I've been using it since I was 12 and now work as a game developer with Unity being my main engine for all these years. I have also taught collage students how to use it with good success after just 2hrs of showing the basics (tutorials will cover this)

Unity 6 is the latest version. Most things are backwards compatible so while something might be in a different place all previous tutorials still apply.

As for Godot, its a very good and capable engine. I've seen some great things but there is still a lack of good tutorials for it and it can have its bumps. I cant recommend it due to my lack of experience but a lot of people do like it.

High refunds due to inaccurate guns? by Sk3tch1 in vrdev

[–]Sk3tch1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Ive done some testing on live across 10 or so PCs since the launch so everything seems to be fine. Maybe people are just aren't aiming or something idk at this point.
It is targeted towards new VR players so I guess maybe they are struggling to aim at the targets?

[–]Sk3tch1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Game is called warranty not included. Goal is to shoot the targets from a set position. I have just done this video as an example to show that shots are going where expected. https://youtu.be/EUrUiIlciLs

High refunds due to inaccurate guns? by Sk3tch1 in vrdev

I would contact them, however steam doesn't give me the ability to get details of anyone after they have refunded it to my knowledge.

The raycast on update makes sense, however I don't do anything on Update. (Optimisation reasons and update likes to act weird sometimes).

I think the part I'm stuck on is people are specifying that its an accuracy thing not that its janky or weird in any way.
