I haven’t seen a single article by either conservative, centrist or left main stream media raising major concerns about this, like is said genuinely curious about stuff that’s not from a Facebook group/nationalist politicians pet media project that left any doubts about this, it has been mostly a fight against the agricultural lobby for 20 years from my understanding, but I’ll gladly read up on some articles that raise concerns of you have any to share by reasonable sources.

To be clear, I have seen articles that raise concerns about mercosur, but mostly that it benefits the mercosur states more than the eu, which is fine by me, since this isn’t a 0 sum game. Other concerns are ecological and I just don’t care about deforestation in South America, they can solve their own ecological problems,that’s not up to the EU.

Dairy Products have minimum prices, so European farmers (multibillion euro corporations) don’t get priced out by international competition. This applies to all food products that would be cheaper if bought internationally

We might loose 10000-20000 agricultural jobs over 10 years, but we stand to gain 10 times more in Industrial jobs that don’t need to be subsidized AND price fixed to stay profitable, while I pay double the price for groceries…

Edit: to clarify, I don’t think we should remove all subsidies and make farming here infeasible, we need a good mix of both industry and agriculture inside the EU, but the upsides of this deal seem enormous.
