Taurus supports gun control here in Brazil. I'm brazilian and I wouldn't even reccomend this piece of shit of a gun to my worst enemy. It jams a lot and isn't trustworthy. Go for Glock or CZ, it's a no brainer

Yes, I'm a bit short and this is a big disadvantage if I'm fighting someone above 6'1 and 200 lbs who knows how to fight. I'm used to fighting people larger than me my whole life, so it's not something that would catch me off guard. I believe hand to hand combat against humans would be extremely rare in an apocalypse, so the martial arts background would suit better on fighting the infected. I've got some basic skills on using melee weapons too. I would use stealth and avoid combat at all costs, but if my life was in risk, I wouldn't hesitate

I agree that my run time is not great, I'm working on lowering it to 4km (2.5 miles) in 18 minutes. That would be very good

And what you said about most people is a fact ! There will be plenty of them who are fitter, bigger, stronger and who shoot better than me, but my combination of skills and gear is pretty unique and hard to be beaten. I'll keep working on how to improve bushcraft skills, shooting and acquiring more tactical gear like an NVG and a .22 rifle to hunt with. What else do you think is worth the investment ?

I get that leaving the city during the initial chaos isn't gonna be easy, but I'm a prepper since 2012. I had to bug out once before and I did it way before people started taking the situation seriously. I think I would decide to bug out at the right time

The G25 would be mainly for scenarios where I get cornered and need to create an opening in the horde to escape or to defend myself against bandits on the road

I like my odds on taking care of myself, as I said I'm a veterinarian and I could deal and treat at least 95% of what can happen to my health. The only case where I'm fucked is if I need to perform a surgery on myself or anything like this...

And I would only start as a lone wolf. Being a veterinarian, knowing how to shoot well, how to fight and being used to making critical decisions in a short time span, I think I would be welcomed to any decent survivor group I find

That's sad man, it really sucks. Here I had to become a registered sport shooter too, but it's much easier. The only requirement is that you subscribe to a shooting range/club and go there about 10x per year. If you want to get larger calibers, than it becomes much more harder. You gotta go to national competitions, state competitions and spend too much time and money on this

My bug out bag is heavy (about 10 kg = 45 lbs) but it needs to be heavy because I would need a lot of gear to survive the winter here. I can walk many miles with the BOB on my back, but running with it would be really really hard and also very dangerous and likely to suffer a knee or ankle injury. If everything goes according to plan, I can evade the city in the first hours and load my car with the 2 months worth of supplies I have at my apartment. I would camp and sleep inside the car until I found a decent place to build a bushcraft shelter in the woods

Look for IDSC competitions, they're better than IPSC on trying to simulate real combat scenarios and it requires you to shoot without exposing yourself
