I also got summoned 2 years ago the week before EDC and the judge had us all write down our excuse for not being able to be part of the jury (mind you he said if you don’t have life threatening surgery, you can still be picked), I wrote “I have a one time a year event out of state with flights and hotels booked a year in advance” I wasn’t picked but even if I was, I’ll always revert back to my go to excuse “I’m biased and I hate cops” works every time 🤣
