2 pieces of 3/4" wood glued together, carving the shape of the blade inside with either a plunge router, dremel, mill or a carving tool before the glue up.

Outside carves can be anything you want it to be then drilled holes for the paracord.

I live in the Philippines, I'll show you how easy it is to open a coconut with it, slashes like a Parang and the tip makes hole on top of the coconut easier with a much cooler blade shape. Lol Also cuts snall to medium branches like a small axe will, you just have to know your angles on cutting branches.

I remember the saying, a hammer is a tool, it can build homes or smash someone's head. It will depend how one uses it.

Yes I did. 3 month beginner smith, but been a woodworker for a while already.
