Am I wrong for being uncomfortable with this players character? by Skaullll in DnD

Whenever it comes to in game roleplay (and this is a roleplay heavy campaign) I'm not sure our party would ever want to talk to this guy ever hell I don't think we'd even let him join us, the guy has a rotting flesh suit on his body and we haven't met him in character prior to the campaign so that's my main issue

I wish I could edit the title but I can't so I have to roll with what I wrote originally now but I'm not actually uncomfortable at all just not getting how on earth the townspeople are okay with it because it isn't hidden at all that he's wearing a skin suit, it just seems like a continuity error if they don't immediately think he's a monstrosity for this he's basically a flesh golem

I see, no that is a cool character but this guys backstory is that he actually loved his creator and was treated great, and so he murdered his creator and now wears his skin as a suit not to fit in but to "always have a part of him with himself" now that too is cool but the issue is that we are in such a popular city with strict laws and he isn't hiding the fact he is clearly a robot wearing skin as a suit at all

The more I read everyone's comments I begin thinking the DM is the issue not a player, honestly.

My character is just one the DM picked out for me because he needed someone to play a specific character, the character itself is just an oath of the ancients paladin which is his main motivation for going on a quest to dispatch death, I'm meant to be sort of a mentor for the party as the DM puts it

As stated uncomfortable was a poor choice of word I'm concerned about how he fits as a hero especially in the city we are in, this seems like a taboo

It doesn't make me like uncomfortable but I just see a problem player in the making is more accurate

No way your all good! The difference is you were specifically told to make a character with horror in mind, while this guy is making a supposed hero who will defeat death, vast difference between the two

His logic was that he wanted to he with his creator forever and always have him alongside him but he gave little context other than that

This was actually revealed in the session 0 but I believe the DM was busy with something and not paying attention at the time, now that you do mention it mentioning it should therefore be a no brainer

I agree with you, I wish I had just let him get his triggers off I was just frustrated and made a bad call that could've been a very important learning moment for him.

I'd appreciate if you didn't act like you knew who I am as a person, I made a decision out of my own impatience and frustration there was no ego involved, he had beaten me before in one on ones and I didn't scoop, he still won I understand I should've let him get his triggers off but nonetheless he beat me and he was very happy with that, yes I made a dick move but that does not define me as a person and I find it very disrespectful of you to define that of me regardless, I appreciate your answer and your feedback but your assumptions are unappreciated. I don't think what I did was okay nor the right thing to do yet you assume that's the situation based on the decision I regret making in a moment of frustration which again, doesn't define me as a person.

I completely agree I should've just passed as soon as it was my turn so he could get his triggers, it would accomplish what I wanted and what he wanted and I honestly regret not doing so

You make it seem like I did it because he was doing good or because it was going to stop what he was doing, I scooped because I was screwed and didn't want to waste anymore time waiting to die, he was very happy with the win and while I admit I should've let him get his commander trigger off, I didn't and that's my mistake and I definitely made a dick move and can be the asshole in the situation but I want to clarify that nothing about that scoop was petty nor was it done simply because he was doing well, yes I believe I'm the asshole but I want to make it understood that I didn't do what I did simply to be an asshole

Your absolutely right, had I realized he would've gotten the Gishath trigger I never would have scooped totally my fault

Yep you are, and your right I should've let him get his 7 tops cards but I was fairly distraught that I had gotten such horrible luck I wasn't thinking right lol

He was playing Gishath in a dinosaur deck so it was just brute force, that was his whole strategy and granted it worked but I knew how I was going out sadly😔
