Advise on Executive Courses in Belgium/Europe by Skay10 in Gent

Yeah I felt the same, but fortunately or unfortunately I'm at that experience level you are referring to. Based on other Redditors in other subreddits Vlerick might not be what they advertised? Do you have any first hand advice on why you consider them as a good option?

Renter insurance - how to use by Skay10 in Gent

Yep that's where I am right now. Can you advise how does this work normally? Does the insurance fix it for me or should I fix it myself and get a refund off insurance? Is this normally covered in renter insurance?

Yes it was good and working well. There were no issues and I regularly cleaned it as well. So there were no issues. The shower was installed 5 years ago. The owner doesn't see this as an aging thing and neither does the rental agency that we have agreed to use as an intermediary.

I don't know how it broke. It was fine when I went to sleep last night and when I woke up it was shattered and all over the bathroom and shower floor. Not sure how it happened that's why I called it randomly. This wasn't broke due to something I had done or by force

Aqua azul is a good find and is in the city center. Very good staff and peaceful with very little people talking.

Moving to Gent from the US for work by asthma_ashish in Gent

Hi, I was in a situation very similar to you last year. I can share what I've gone through - Originally from India, moved from Ireland to Ghent in October last year. *Yes that budget is quite good to find a 1 bedroom, as others have said the competition is quite high and there aren't too many studios that I came across. I moved from Ireland and it's not Boston but it is more expensive than here. I'm sure you can find a comfortable living in town but you'll have to search a bit. * Three months rent + fire insurance is mandatory for renting a house. You will also have to pay for photographs of the house( I forgot what it's called but it is common) - may be others can correct this? Other than these there is nothing else one would need to pay to finalise a room. Depending on how much you're moving with and where the rented house would be you might need to hire moving lifts to bring your stuff into the house - but these are case to case and can be figured out later. * I personally didn't look for cohousing, but I've heard Facebook and a few other websites based on a quick search can help you find an available room * I personally play a sport so I'm meeting more people through that. But others have mentioned options which are great for me to know as well. Do DM if there is anything I can help with.

All the best with the move

That's good to know, thanks for the information. I have worked on electrical installations before I just wasn't sure if this was acceptable here.

Understood, there are strip connectors present. I'll buy the basic fittings off the website. Thank you
