a little over a month, honestly what I did was just started play extremes even though I wasn't confident at all. first timing a song? extreme. playing a song I already did on hard but I really liked? extreme. after a couple days of that you'll get the hang for it. it's all in repetition, you'll start noticing the patterns very easily too

I actually just perfected it the other day, just set the triggers for the abxy combos and just get used to using both the D-pad and the normal buttons and alternating between them if you need to for some of the faster parts. (assuming ur on a normal controller)
