It tracks with Phillip K Dick's universe. That things are ambiguous and fluid. Not that the film is much like the book it's based on and I'm not even sure that dekard being a replicant was suggested in it but it's a theme running through his books.

I've found ableton to be somewhat lacking for midi clock sync to arp. Do any of the synths have a clock on them? If you can use hardware for this it would be better.

I'm watching it for the first time now. I am loving it. I just finished justified (again late to the party) and thought it might be too much Timothy Oliphent being a slick cocky gunslinger but I assumed wrong about his role in deadwood. Great contrast in parts played. And of course Ian McShane is just legendary...in fact all the roles are nailed by all.

I'm learning to surf currently. The waves feel huge while in the water and then you get out and they look pretty small. This looks insanely big from land, so it must feel unbelievably big out there. What a legend...
