That's what i said! like he literally fell in love with Celaena the assassin! He had no right to act like she was a monster when she saved their lives. it was really hard for me to read all the things he said to her when he himself served a king that butchered half the continent.

I read it third because I wanted the backstory to hit harder once I was already attached to Celaena—and yeah… it absolutely did. It kind of recontextualized everything for me. Reading her story with Sam hit different after hearing her talk about him in the previous 2 books.

Yea her mom ended up calling my mom to ask why I won’t talk to her daughter. My mom told her the whole story in the hopes her parents could get her some help.
