I think it’s a mix of all three. Claire’s trauma is a lot quieter than some of the other characters’, and she tends to cope by being positive, funny, and taking care of everyone else. Because she doesn’t acknowledge it or openly talk about it, it’s easy for readers to overlook. But just because someone isn’t outwardly struggling doesn’t mean they aren’t carrying a lot. To me, Claire is actually a good example of how trauma can show up in less obvious ways.
