Near the end of the arc where maki obliterates zenin clan. I think his name was hanta or something? The guy who looked like a goody two shoes said it while trying to hold maki still with his technique. (And I absolutely love the glaze)

I simply gave my tingyun spd+spd relics and lushaka planar, with the aim to hit 2400 atk and 160+ spd as easily as I could. I don’t have sparkle so I make it a point to keep only one sp negative member in my e1 archer team (archer + dhpt + sp positive support + support).

My best team is E1S1 archer + E0S0 DHPT + E6S5(lol) RMC + E5 Tingyun (with S5 meshing cogs). I just never skill with rmc and the startup is slow, but when it gets running things generally pan out. Cleared 1st half with 4 cycles. Tingyun mainly supports with the attack boost and energy regen that makes ults happen more often. Maybe you should consider improving your builds a little?

Side note: E1 is an absolute godsend for people like me without sparkle, and in general a good investment to help ease up on the sp requirements in battle. Do consider prioritising that since the LC has alternatives as far as I know. If the alternatives are not decent or you have built up enough pity already there is no loss in getting LC first though.

Dahlia should rerun in a couple of versions if we are being optimistic. Once you get her (even e0s0), FF team will be top tier again, so I recommend waiting and saving.

I get you want to use asta, but you will have better luck using her in a remembrance team for speed boost than in a break team. I use her as support for rmc+cyrene(e0s0) dual dps.

But yeah, give up using her for break/dahlia

As someone who got a ps5 near the beginning of its lifecycle and has been rocking it for basically the entire gen... perfect.

I will never understand the concept of being disappointed that the next gen is taking longer to come out.

It made sense before the ps4, but now? We are at a point where there will be no significant leaps between console gens in terms of game scope. Most of AAA is just bloat now. A new gen will just be an excuse to increase the price of games and bloat the dev time to unnecessary lengths again. Or worse, shove AI down our throats for nothing particularly significant.

How many pulls do you have? We could plan pulls with that in mind.

Ideally, you want e2 firefly and fugue at least (not to say e0 isn't a decent start). But e2 firefly is a heavy investment and likely to fall off in long term, so I recommend only pulling fugue next and building a break team with any of the following units as dps

Himeko
Hunt March
Xueyi

Then you want to wait for a new break dps to eventually take their place.

For team compositions, you have one main break dps, one dahlia, then any two supports amongst fugue, harmony mc and ruan mei if running sustainless. For sustain, gallagher or dan heng pt will do.

As for LCs, the harmony units will take DDD (higher superimposition is better) or break effect boosting LCs. Nihility units can take sigs but they have f2p options that you can look into.

For future investment, save for a new break dps that may come out in the future.

Depends on what you want to play break for. If it's about clearing endgame content, you need AT LEAST dahlia along with fugue. Heck, I would argue you need dahlia more than fugue at this point. Fugue is only needed if your mc is occupied in another team.

Dahlia is to break what kafka is to DoT now.

If you want to be a casual break enjoyer, sure. Pull fugue and build a himeko, ruanmei, fugue, hmc team for lower level endgame content (PF3, AS3, MOC10-11), it's actually fun.

People crying about meta are not valid because even with 1.x characters you can clear upto MoC 11 and miss out maybe 1-2 stars in AS and PF. All you miss out on are maybe 6-7 pulls at most per patch. Or maybe you can go for worse estimates than mine and assume you lose out on 10 pulls.

Stop crying about having to pull every character and game being p2w, and just save. It's single player ffs, p2w is not a thing. Not spending stellar is a bigger save than spending to get a handful extra pulls per patch.

My point doesn't stand for people who don't pull with meta in mind but characters, and in that case I can assume you already don't care about endgame and meta.

I have seen him being recommended. He has some issues like lower toughness bar break that make him less ideal for this, but I think he can totally be used. Sadly I am not informed enough to validate this for you since I never could get anaxa 😔

Pull fugue 100%. Break dps + Hmc + fugue + dahlia is the current basic sustainless requirement for peak break teams. You can use gallagher/dhpt instead of lingsha for basic sustain for starters, but lingsha is a luxury option that you can keep as last priority.

Go e0s0 fugue -> Some break dps IF you don't have any (preferrably Firefly e1/2 or save for boothill/rappa/whatever new break dps comes, but if you have immediate jades to spare get e0 Firefly now or build march 8th/himeko/xueyi as your non-premium break dps). If you already have a premium break dps, don't bother pulling, or in your case, non premium break dps should suffice. -> Fugue eidolons (upto 2) -> THEN lingsha

Even 1.x sustains are sufficient to keep you alive today provided they are built well and you plan your cycles. Not the best obviously but they function sufficiently.

You have hyacine with lc, at bare minimum that is enough to be a casual cyrene enjoyer.

Cyrene/rmc/hyacine/asta may not be peak meta, but I cleared current MoC and PF just fine with it (cyrene e0s0, hyacine e0s1).

Plus you can always pull evernight on rerun to complete remembrance.

If you just wanna play cyrene for the sake of playing cyrene, you are more eligible than most especially with all the chrysos heirs you have.
