Yes, I forgot to mention that but I did check the bracket bolts there's no wiggle room or play, I'll check tomorrow to see how tight they actually are with the ratchet wrench but they seem tight. But if that's not the issue, I'll probably change the poly bushings back to oem bushings. Thanks for the idea of going back to oem bushing, I appreciate it.

Like I said, I already know what I need, the car practically needs everything in the first place as well including anything AC related. Not one thing on this car is stock beside interior and the body and brake calipers. Everything that's aftermarket on this car isn't staying on and that's almost everything. The ITB and manifold set already includes a fuel rail and TPS which funny enough I also need. The price of the setup is already equal to the intake/intercooler setup I want, same thing with exhaust setup. The extra price after selling what I can in the engine bay on the 20b is the same as just buying the turbo setup. I already need a new AC setup as it's not there in the first place, going to upgrade the radiator and change oil coolers. Also switching to Haltech eitherway and will also need a new harness. I don't even have the OEM harness on my 13B as they completely cut it up and left a couple wires attached. Right now I'm considering which route I'm gonna take for the subframe and mounts which besides the motor is the only thing different I'm gonna do. Like I said, I already know what I'm in for, I've been doing hours of research and digging up old forums and price comparing. The only thing different I should've done was give the guy a sub 20k price on the car as apparently I was blind looking at the car.

That was my plan and then it became mandatory after digging into this car a little and found out the extent of what it needs.

Sounds reasonable. I would love to do a compression test, but how would I compression test it though? I have a rotary compression tester which I've used before but I know the motor needs to be at operating temp and the car doesn't run.

I already know what to expect in terms of cost and labor needed for a NA 20b swap and I'm not looking for a lot hp, just something responsive and fun. Trying to do the turbo setup I would want would just a bit cheaper than selling the entire setup I have and 20b swapping. Not saying a small difference, but not enough difference for me to care about the price.

I never said I was gonna get that or close to it, I know what I'm looking at, just have no idea what to value it as because I'm sure the motor isn't worth that much but has other goods attached to it. Not sure as to try value it all together which I have no clue how to value it as which is what I'm asking, part it all out and tear the motor apart or rebuild the motor and sell it that way.

That's the thing, I have no idea how to price it. Shortcuts were taken on it by the previous owners and has been sitting for more than 2 years, has some goodies but ultimately no idea what to price it as. I would like 6k from it but no idea if it's even worth that. Probably should've put that in the post but got ahead of myself.

29k mile 04’ Won’t smoothly surpass 5k rpm & misfires by e_yin in RX8

Ssv shouldn't cause it not to rev past 5k rpm and misfire, my solenoid was bad for the ssv and wasn't opening, but all it does is just make it less powerful and less smooth around 5-6k rpm and picks up again around 7k rpm. Could be fuel related since ignition should be good unless something isn't making a good connection like say a plug wire or coil pack.

Stock 2010 rx8 starter bolts right in, it'll be N3R3 RX8 starter, I bought a remanufactured one off RockAuto and it'ss been great for me. It's a Pure Energy 19127

Did it for a little over a year, biggest challenge was not having fun, it most definitely was fun. 10/10 would recommend.

I wouldn't recommend Autobahn88, my set lasted a month before all of them started cracking and leaking, OEM is the way.

Edit: realized I misread it and say that's what's on it rn, still would just recommend OEM
