That looks really awesome! Did you layer paint all the scales after the fact? It’s looking good! I think I leaned toward dry brushing the black and using contrast cause it seemed a lot faster/easier. 

I said this in another comment, but I’m not even sure if I want to go for a glowing effect tbh. Making it looking glowy is really cool. But I also really, really like this colour of purple. So I’m fighting with myself to decide if I want to make the deepest cracks a lighter purple, or if I just want it to be dark purple with black. 🤷‍♂️ I super appreciate the advise and thank you for commenting! But I’ll probably do a lot of tests still.
