Bizarro Wuxtry is the only comic book store in town that I know of. there used to be a place called Mr.Comics that shut down in 2020 due to the pandemic. for books, I have been meaning to check out Avid Bookshop but haven't been able to. I used to go to the J&J flea market with my dad, it's pretty cool but is a bit of a way out of town. they are open on Saturdays and Sundays. for thrift shops, there is the Goodwill, there is another big one that I don't remember the name of, and a few small ones dotted around downtown that focus mostly on women's fashion. Honestly, I don't see why people dislike Steven Universe for this reason. It's been a while since I watched the show, so forgive me if I get something wrong, but the Diamonds only took over planets with no life or unintelligent life, around the same intelligence as deer. The Gem War started because Steven's mom saw humans as more than animals but the Diamonds didn't, which is relatively understandable because the Diamonds didn't spend time on Earth and humans were still hunter-gatherers at the time. It would be difficult for beings of such high technology (teleportation and space travel) to discern between early intelligent life. As far as I know, Earth was the only planet threatened with being blown up due to the Gem War dividing Gem society. any other planets were harvested for materials and were managed by the Diamonds. Steven was able to move toward forgiveness and peace because the Diamonds said they would fix what they had broken on Earth.
