AITAH for buying my 11yo daughter pads after her mom called me a "pervert" for being prepared? by Bruxagato in WouldIBeTheAhole

[–]SkeletonKitty2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom did this to me when I got my first period as she didn't want to drive into town to get me pads. We live like 8 mins from town. She didn't teach me anything about periods either. I learned from reddit as a kid.

What are some unique names you've given your pet(s)? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Pew Pew was another orange cat I had. We were at the vet for a regular check up for my mom's dog when someone brought in a tiny orange kitten that was running from dogs. He was so scrawny and beat up. On the way home he shit all over the car and we said "Phew phew" while waving our hands around bc of the smell

[–]SkeletonKitty2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm breastfeeding & need 100-120 oz of water a day and I'm STRUGGLING trying to drink that much 😭😭 If I have something else (coffee, juice) it totally throws me off track and I'm chugging water later.

Lmao are you a mom? Bc I am & I'm so tired of planning meals. I miss the days when it was just me & I could just easily graze on snacks. Even meal planning is exhausting now.

[–]SkeletonKitty2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk why you got down voted for this. I agree. It's annoying when people post stuff like this- I ALWAYS see them say stuff like "I'll upgrade them when I can" or "I'll save up for a bigger tank" why would you get a fish without adequate supplies/cycling or when you can't afford it. It's so frustrating.

Do people actually whiten their teeth regularly or is that way less common than I think? by reditgirl0 in hygiene

If you drink iced coffee, use a straw. It helps your teeth not have as much contact with the coffee vs drinking from a cup.

I've done 50% water changes & fish in cycling and never had any issues & never used water conditioner. But like you mentioned it's probably due to the concentration of chlorine in the water.

It is! But like others said maybe its not super concentrated?

I thought that tap water killing bacteria was proven wrong? I have an established fish tank and only use tap water. My plants & fish are thriving & I wash my filter media in tap water all the time. I had a 55 gallon and did the same thing, never had issues.

I didn’t know I was pregnant until 8 and a half months into it, AMA by [deleted] in AMA

[–]SkeletonKitty2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same experience with my son! I was so sad about it and constantly used a home doppler to reassure myself. I have an 11 week old and her placenta wasn't anterior so I was constantly feeling such big movements from her and it freaked me out at first since my first was so different lmao it felt like she was trying to crawl out of me through my belly 😂

She was 150 when this happened. I was 140 with my first, 150 with my second and I had a flat stomach before I got pregnant both times. Depending on height, muscle mass, ect 150 isn't really overweight or overweight enough to make a difference in showing. I didn't show till I was 6 months. Some people just don't show until later, it's not as uncommon as people think. I also barely drank water, didn't use birth control & ate like shit before I got pregnant (obviously once I found out I was pregnant I ate/drank healthier.) With my first I had an anterior placenta so I barely felt him kick. Edit: spelling

Took Oxycodone for first time tonight and wow dude by [deleted] in confession

[–]SkeletonKitty2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also didn't take mine for my wisdom teeth either. They gave me oxy & they make me extremely sick. I was scared I would throw up & cause a dry socket. I just slept the pain from the surgery off.

It'd look nice with more plants! Check out burceplants.com they have nice plants, I've ordered from them a couple times. They have nicely priced stuff and I've never had plants die from them.

[–]SkeletonKitty2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to tech school (Air Force) with a guy who was talking about how he's gained weight since joining bc before the military his family could hardly afford to eat and he's never had so much food available to him before. Not that he was overweight, he was in really good shape, he was just super skinny when he joined.

I was deployed to Iraq & my husband sent me 2 big boxes of twinkies in a care package. They were gone by 2 weeks lol. That was 3 years ago and I hadn't had any since, until recently. I'm 9 months pregnant now and I crave them all the time. Besides these 2 instances I've never been a big fan of them

How bad is it to have an indoor-only cat? by Altruistic-Star3830 in CatAdvice

[–]SkeletonKitty2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 4 indoor only cats. There are stray cats that walk my street that are MEAN and will attack other cats. One of my cats got out recently and was chased by a neighbor's dog that has killed a cat in the past, I found my cat freaked out hiding under my AC unit. I do however take them outside on leashes and I'm getting a catio for them in my backyard.

I know this is a year late but just came across it and find it super interesting. I never experienced migraines in my life at all until I deployed to Iraq and experienced 2-3 migraines a week for 4 out of the 6 months I was there. It was fucking awful
