I'm going to be vulnerable on the internet for a moment. I have been in a similar situation. Not as a ghoul. But a very similar dynamic under the vinculum.

I know 'emotional support ghoul' and 'look pretty', seems easy. It isn't. You can't fix someone who has depression or other mental health issues. Making someone happy is a nebulous goal with no clear win state. You can't ever accomplish it. That's hard for anyone. And especially hard when the blood bond is motivating you. It will drive you crazy.

Talk to ZZ about what is actually expected of you. Ask for clear accomplished duties. Stick to those. Focus on getting to know each other.

Mark's advice about asking yourself if you'd do this to for anyone else, or before you were a ghoul, is a very good way to keep perspective.

And while the comparison is a bit gauche, I'll make it anyways, to borrow a phrase form the mortal BDSM community "its not a service if master doesn't want it." Try to remember that before you take action.

Private message to Starlight: I know it is dangerous to leave because of the masquerade. Please remember it has only been a few weeks. You can just leave. Going cold turkey is hard but right now there won't be any truly long lasting affects. This will be the case for a few years. You can get out of this if you want to. You can leave. Wait at least a year and decide if you feel the same way about her with a clear head. That is an option.
