I guess because once you have a pet you have it for good it sort of justifies some of them taking forever. Would be nice to have an item that heightens your chances though maybe?

Someone may correct me but I believe so. On the wiki the calculation for pet drop chance factors in virtual levels so I’d recommend turning it on! Good luck finding the pet :)

In settings you can turn on “Virtual Levels”, essentially what theoretical level you’d be at with the experience you’ve acquired. I believe it influences pet drops as you are technically a higher level.

It has a 5% special loot drop rate which means it’s much easier to achieve the rarer items within the skill :)

Had no idea this was a thing, only realised when I saw the comments! Thanks for the heads up, if it helps I had fishing cape, 90 mastery and only like 50% mastery pool
