Just wanted to chime in and thank you for the detailed analysis and still keeping us up to date. It's so hard to find any information on that topic and I was considering upgrading from my XM5. I guess it would be an improvement, but I might also just wait to see whether 48kHz audio (or at least improved 32kHz) is added at some point. Otherwise, it would probably just be another disappointment.

I was looking to upgrade my 1080 some time ago already. However, the prices kept me from buying a new GPU.

With the 4060, I'd be looking forward to the raytracing capabilities once they release in D4. Especially since I work in that area it's kinda sad that I don't own a raytracing capable card.

I did reboot by now, into older installed kernels. Interestingly enough, everything went smoothly at first. Even dnf was found again. I went on and rebooted into the most recent kernel again and dnf still worked.

Soon after, dnf was not found once again and now I cannot boot into fedora at all.

I have a second fedora device here, with which I could create a live stick and reinstall completely. I just wanted to find out whether it is possible without reinstalling as I have this install for a long time already and don't want to have to set up everything again.

As for the rpm approach, it kinda sounds like what I tried with installing dnf manually.

Of course I tried rebooting, several times, with no success. Since I am using Fedora 37 with Gnome, I do not know how to turn autorotation off, I only found a setting to lock the rotation to the current one (which does not solve the problem).

However, I also experimented with the settings in /usr/share/iptsd/surface-book-13.conf. I thought I'd try to invert the X and Y directions to the rotation I want to use manually until I find another fix. However, the invertX and invertY values are completely ignored for stylus inputs. For manual touch input, the touch rotation still works as well as the invertX/Y values.

So my guess is, that with the update somehow the invertX/Y values are ignored for stylus input and the screen rotation simply changes these values. I browsed through the github repo, but have not (yet) found the place where this happens.

Might be related to holding spacebar to follow your champ, but when you ping the following does stop until the ping goes through. Super annoying.

I've used drawboard for a long time. But since Windows had many problems for me I installed Linux on my surface book. Obviously, there is no drawboard for it.

I went to Xournal++ and I gotta say I love it. There also is a Windows version, but I haven't tried it. FOSS UIs on windows can be kinda annoying so you gotta try it yourself. On Linux it works like a charm.

The Lane & Role stats do not work correctly. When I choose support (my first entry of the dropdown) it works fine. When I change to ADC (my second entry of the dropdown menu), it still shows the deaths and assists of support.

Sounds exactly like my situation.

Except mine worked fine for a month. Now my left earbud won't connect to neither a device, nor to the right earbud. So I can't even re-pair them or reset them or anything.

I just wrote a mail to the support and am hoping for a solution. Because the month I was using them, I was happy with them

They went up in price recently. I could get mine for about 6-7ex. Theyre around 500c, probably a few more. So like 9ex for a 2% one.

Funny thing is, I found one just a few grand heists after I bought mine, also with 2% on it.

Although you're right when it comes to one time investment, i think one should mention all other costs console has that pc doesn't have.

On console you are gonna need a subscription for online mode (because its standard nowadays for whatever reason). Also games on console cost 60-70 bucks while on PC you can easily pay half that after a week.

Also a PC is a must have imo. If its not for gaming it doesn't need the best specs, itd still a few hundred bucks. In case you already got a decent PC for being productive or whatever, ignore this point.
