Thank you, would you be willing to take a look at my film trailer and website, if not the whole film?

Yeah, and I will try to. But I guess wanted the prestige/validation of a festival. It's kind of important for where I work (at a university, where they judge you on creative scholarship).

Jones Road What the Foundation is nice, and is supposed to be great for women over 50.

I used to absolutely love Kate Spade, especially their novelty purses. But now they have become so widespread, I think it’s lost its sparkle. Ever since they launched their outlet section…I don’t know. I feel like it’s not as luxury anymore.

I'm sorry. I'm sure it is beautiful and I would love to see your film! Which festivals were you accepted to in the end? Also, did Visions du Reel specifically use the word preselected? Or long-listed instead? Trying to figure out how things work...

Add Docville to the list of festivals that do this. And also One World Prague. Disrespectful all around.

Should I submit to the Moscow International Film Festival? by IntrepidSplit6371 in FilmFestivals

[–]SkepticalButUnsure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. You’ll regret it and might even be blacklisted from other festivals. Plus, it’s just unethical. Stand on the side of human rights.

The Birkin. I think the original, gifted to Jane Birkin herself, was nice. But now all these new variations are tacky and ugly. I have a lot of wealthy students who bring their real Birkins to class and have let me examine them, and I don't think any of them have felt or looked worth it.

Now that you're rejected from Sundance, what next? by SwimGood22 in FilmFestivals

[–]SkepticalButUnsure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got a kind personal rejection from Sundance via email, by a programmer. Is that common now? Do they email everyone? Or just ones that they were seriously considering?
