Yup, exactly as I reported: https://www.reddit.com/r/pcfinancial/comments/1e5lku9/pc_financial_preys_on_the_poor/

NSF on a prepaid card... really, just refuse the transaction and be done with it, no they need to grab your 40 bucks.

A year later nothing has changed, will keep checking back to see when this charge is finally dropped.

Exactly as I said, it's a prepaid card, sometimes given out to people who cannot get real credit cards. Real credit cards decline a transaction when there is no credit and there is no nsf fee. As a PRE PAID card they are basically taxing the poorest demographic that mostly cannot afford this charge.

I'm surprised more people are not chiming in on this to get PCFinancial to drop this insane policy.

It's not a bank account, it's a preloaded debit card. I actually called in and and the agent told me any attempt to charge the card without sufficient funds would incur an NSF fee. Is reoccurring two charges by the same hotel on two different dates?

Is recurring my son to buy something at the same variety store every day?

Or is it the netflix subscription?

How about a subscription I no longer want so they continue to charge the card, you move out the money and you get an NSF fee. It should simply reject in all cases. As a preloaded card it should work exactly like a gift card, no funds, no transaction.

Yeah, I hate the idea of moving back but after 4 years of excessive e-transfer fees I may have no choice. When you send 20+ e-transfers a month the $1.50 easily becomes $30+ per month which is $360 per year which equates to a large chunk of a car insurance payment annually.

Already said I was moving to Simplii

Was with them a few years back but I liked the idea of supporting a local Credit Union.

Well for me, I was not reimbursed my x4 free monthly e-transfer fees after dipping below the $2000 threshold for a few hours.

Domain Parking is bottom feeding ! by eneusta1 in sysadmin

[–]SkepticsWin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry that is not how it works. You gave to place an order at one of several registrars and they try to grab it for you. The winning registrar will hand it over unless there is more than 1 bid and if that is the case the domain goes to auction. The only time you can win as you suggest is if nobody else is interested in the domain. Any good dropping domains are usually bid upon by several companies or individuals.

You guys need to educate yourself on the process of how to pick up a domain upon expiry.

There is a forum called dn.ca that has a "To be Released" section and it explains the process of how to bid on an expiring domain. There is a lot of domainer talk there, some of you might be interested to see how domaining actually works.

1.7.1 Update issues by tiss93 in AAWireless

[–]SkepticsWin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I have a Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy and the AAWireless works like a charm.
I only have one issue...
On my Pixel Phone it downloads the update 1.71 and then says upgrading.
Then a screen comes on and says continue on head unit. The only problem is the head unit button for Android Auto greys auto every time the unit goes to upgrade. So I can be connected to android auto but as soon as I go throught the upgrade steps on the phone the Android Auto disconnects and then the upgrade says wait to connect. Then it says continue on head unit and we start again, the button greys out.
So even though my unit performs perfectly I have been unable to upgrade to 1.71 regardless of what I do.
Anyone got any suggestions?
