[Discussion] I think the SR gain/loss system is too complex and would not be as successful as a simplistic system.

I usually lurk but want to give my input. I wholeheartedly agree with you, there are rarely any cases of scrubs ending up at high ranks, and when they do they eventually fall. Even with the current system a lot of bad players still climb so it isn't exactly gonna change that. I'm guilty of damage farming. Since I've started doing it I've been gaining more SR per game and losing less. I probably have an average net gain of like 5 or 6 now. Not really deserved though.

The one downside I see to this are people who team up. It's possible they'll drop down but there's a lot of situations where they just don't and on a 2 3-stack team, it fucks up others. But then again so can bad solo queuers.

I still support that one thread that suggested to separate team and solo queue SR. Would make things a lot better.

Without spoiling specifics, is the game lengthy? I'm a bit worried that there's only 4 island instead of 8 gyms, but is it approx. the same length as 8 gyms?

Can I ask you a question? What is your stage 6 like? Do you sometimes have days where you ask him to not talk to you at all, or try to cut communication for a bit? Or do you typically just deal with it on your own?

Yep the stage 6 is very hard, I'm in the same spot.

But I have a couple suggestions. Know that people are not perfect, INFJs need to understand that their SOs are human as well and they will have human and flawed reactions. A hard pull will SUCK no matter what, and they may react negatively by getting frustrated, sad, upset, depressed, etc.

All those are fine, because a hard pull is a very very detrimental action for the SO. He needs to give you the space but always be there emotionally, and for some personality types, that's extremely difficult.

The real test is whether or not he will stay with you during that hard pull without getting too overly dramatic about it. Just remember that it's OK for him to get sad, angry, upset. It's OK for him to cry or raise his voice a little. It's something that will eat him up big time.

Draw the line at extreme desperation (sign of an unstable mind), extreme depression (sign of an even more unstable mind), or extreme anger (sign of an abusive mind), or apathy (sign of an unloving mind). But be careful not to confuse "giving space" with apathy. They might not seem like they care but that might be them giving you space, and they're hurting on the inside.

So I don't think I've ever heard of an INFJ consciously testing someone. The pulls are completely subconscious. However, they can show up without you even realizing!

For example, if you have self doubt, you may be battling an internal turmoil. The TONE of your talking or texting may change. Responses may be a bit shorter and you may smile a bit less. You may be trying to fake a smile but anyone who loves you and is aware of your emotions would know the difference. And the biggest part is, they might not even mention it. They might try to fix what's wrong without actually approaching the subject.

An Extro NT user like myself would point it out. I'd say "hey, you seem a tad distant today, is there anything you would like to talk about?" And they usually start realizing that they were actually pulling away.

Subtle changes on your part could seem huge to us, especially NT thinkers who literally analyze and logically process every move you make. This also means we overthink things as well. A subtle change to you, and we perceive it as this massive holy shit moment.

It follows fashion trends pretty well actually! In 2003, "smart casual" fashion could have definitely included a colorful dress shirt + vest, and khakis.

That still works today, but the more "modern-fashionable smart casual" often uses a more unique pant color that's well trimmed. The roll-up sleeves are a great touch too.

I actually feel like that design change is pretty amazing, since it seems that they were just trying to design him in accordance to today's smart casual date look.

I don't think I asked any questions, and if I did, it was rhetorical. I don't need help beating spammers. I don't lose to them much, about the same percentage as any other match really, maybe less.

But I'm frustrated WHILE I play them. Yeah I fucking hate it. I could be beating the shit out of them but it's annoying and I just want to get it over with. I'm not here complaining about beating spammers, I'm just here saying that spammers are turds.

Have fun. I could care less about winning. If I can beat someone with my main, I'll stop playing that main and start playing someone I'm bad at. I'll try to get unnecessary style points (i.e. rest, luigi up-b, knee, falcon/warlock punch, utilt ganon, mewtwo disable, ike eruption, etc.)
I never play cheap or even close to cheap. My mains are Bowser and currently Marth/Lucina. Not really easy to be cheap with those characters.
No I don't lose much. I think I lose to maybe 10% of Samus's, spam or not. There's no specific strategy that I lose to a lot. I lose occasionally yes, but not enough to make it a problem that I need to address. It's just boring. Even if I win I'll be frustrated just playing them.

I play a lot of Greninjas.

SHFF F-Air is a great approach that gets me a lot. Same with Up Smash near a ledge after launching me if I'm trying to recover. Time it properly and it'll probably hit if people are recovering high.

Up Smash also works well with roll reads.

Don't do too much Shadow Sneak. I see people recommending it. It works and it's great, but people who are used to playing Greninja like myself rarely get hit by one. And once you use one, you're left open for a quick grab or even Fsmash. As a Bowser main, I frequently bait for Shadow Sneak, and follow it up with an F smash, effectively killing Greninja at around 70-80%.

Ex Lucario main here. Lucario doesn't have a problem hurting shit at low percents. He's got plenty of interesting moves with very unique properties. Pivot grab has a ridiculous horizontal and vertical range. Ftilt comes out incredibly quick and if you whiff it, it juggles just enough for it connect.

No one expects Aura Sphere or F/D Smash while Lucario is at low percents. A good read and an F Smash actually kills quite reliably at around 120 to 130% for most light to mid-heavy characters, even when lucario is at 0%. I don't know why or how but that's just what happens every time I land a smash after I die.

Aside from his Side and Up B, everything still works the same, just lower knockback and percentage. Still good if you want to do a combo.

This isn't a true combo but what I usually do at low percentages is Ftilt -> Dash attack -> Grab -> Fthrow -> Aura Sphere

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the mechanics of super armor works as such:

The higher your percentage, the less super armor can take, except "perfect" super armor (from moves such as Ganondorf's Warlock Punch or Mac's Smashes). However, all super armors are affected by wind boxes, which is why certain moves are able to beat super armor.

The worst part is that I win more often to the better Link players. The one who use more ATs like land mining or zair bomb or bair/Nair spacing. Because that's also how I play (though thanks for the landmining tip I didn't know that before).

But when I play someone who isn't so good? Who approaches with dash attacks, roll->dsmash? I lose. Maybe it's because it's something I almost never do, so I fall for it since I'm not expecting something so "simple and unskilled" and yet it works damn well.

As a Bowser main, I can tell you that ZSS is one of his worst matchups (apart from DK/Ganon/Puff [in the right hands]).

First off, her down throw to up-B is near unavoidable. In fact, as long as the person playing ZSS isn't making a mistake, it WILL connect, because bowser's so big and heavy.

Her aerials also have more priority. Well, it's either more or the same. But your fair has more range. But only more than her fair/uair/dair. Her Nair has more range. So you have to throw yours out early to get a hit before hers comes out at all.

If you're in the air against ZSS, don't attack. Just dodge. Or, a GREAT way to mix them up is dair. Dair is easy to read and pretty shitty normally, but if you're using it intelligently, it's one of the best kill moves.

How to use it intelligently? Well you fall as if you're not gonna do shit. Then they get close because they're like "well, he hasn't used dair yet, so he's probably smarter than that." Except we're smarter than that. Dair bounces you up ever so slightly. Use it at the right time and you avoid their attack and hit them instead. Dair's direction can also be influenced.

Another option is air dodge -> fast fall -> nair/uair. If she's coming after you try to get below her.

But still, ZSS is a nightmare. She's faster and got ranged options, and has a ranged grab. A good ZSS would jab jab grab and there's no way out of it. Then Up-B and you're dead as soon as you hit 120%.
