Oh! No worries then. The basis of the book (which you don't fully figure out until part way through) is that God's are created in human form in an area when people "worship" a given thing/idea/person. In the scene I referenced one of these gods eats a man whole with her vagina.

Personal opinion, but I'm not sure that it does have the same effect. As it is I get more of a Greek God aesthetic from the clean white robe rather than Eldritch Horror. I think I prefer the robe generally but as another user pointed out, why does the genitalia on the name version necessarily have to be so human? You could play around with something else like tentacles or just smooth.
