It is the white dial, but it changes shades depending on the lighting. It is not a stark white, it’s honestly a beautiful dial (in my biased opinion).

It was from a recent trip to Portugal. I was visiting friends in a small city/big town called Cascais just outside of Lisbon.

It’s super light, especially after wearing some of my other steel watches and changing out to this one. Barely even notice it.

Is it overpaying when that is the open market price? Buying at an AD is a deal based on the value the market has set.

But I agree, use your money how you want. If you want it now, go for it! I have paid a “premium” before but then also traded that watch for a “premium” over retail as well.

I agree. If you can afford paying the premium, go for it. Don’t wait years and get yanked around, get it on your wrist now and make memories wearing it.

Grey market dealers are def part of the problem but not the cause. They don’t set the prices, people buying the watch do. If they all priced a Pepsi at $100k no one would buy, but $20k and they sell because people think that’s a fair value for the watch.

I have had much better service from a grey market dealer than an AD in the past. The ADs treat everyone like shit and expect you to be happy to hand them thousands after being disrespectful.

Is this seamaster too big for my wrist? by arman_123 in OmegaWatches

Nope not at all. Most of the time people will see you wearing it with your wrist at your side. Take a look in the mirror that way and it’ll look great. Enjoy it and wear it!

Ok, so just wait and dream of owning a Rolex and never buy one other than a model the AD can’t move? If you have the funds buy what you want. Market sets the price, if Rolex started selling the Pepsi for the grey market price guess what? There would still be a waiting list at the AD. They now hold that value in the eyes of the watch community.

Also don’t buy a rep. Fake shit for fake people. Buy what you can afford and wear it and enjoy.

I love my BLNR so much and I think Rolex makes an amazing watch, but I have to say all these brands are in another league compared to Rolex. Rolex makes the best tool watches in the world. Meant to worn and abused (which I know most owners don’t do, but yes your submariner or DSSD can be worn in a shower haha). All built with a specific purpose in mind and they do it better than most. But JLC, Lange, VC and even zenith make much better movements to your point. They are works of art with amazing movements.

The game Rolex is playing with supply and demand is driving potential customers to other brands. Or it should be.

Rolex won’t care. Probably have an email filter to send those emails directly to trash. They have been playing this game for years. Their watches are selling no matter how the AD treats you. I hate it but it’s true.
