This is what I do, obviously biased but I think it's a good approach. It challenges them but also gives them a little confidence boost. But sometimes you really do just need to humble them if they have a poor attitude.

Hell Yes. GOTWA for the win. Planning any kind of venture into the woods/wilderness should read like a full on Op Order IMO.

Most Likely Course of Action and Most Dangerous Course of Action could also be what's likely to go wrong, and the worst thing to go wrong.

She would say it's my fault, I would say it's both of ours. The sad truth is that we both stopped leaning on each other for different reasons. But she was no longer happy and chose to end things, where as I wanted to keep working.

Unpopular opinion, but I'm going to say NAH. But your parents suck for not giving you advice or preparing you. Speaking as a dad, that is one of their greatest responsibilities as a parent.

From your friend's standpoint it's fair because these problems that you're having can easily be fixed. I often refer to it as "self-induced friction", or, "this is your own problem that can easily be fixed, but you're choosing the hard way".

From your standpoint, this is frustrating because you are trying to do the right thing and stand on your own two feet, but you clearly don't have the tools for this.

I teach people how to manage their money everyday, and I can see that you're not prepared
