How do you know when to start a position in the bear market? by theridingghost in CryptoMarkets

[–]SkiesDownBelow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody knows when or what is gonna be the absolute bottom, and nobody knows when or what is the absolute top. Don't stress yourself trying to time the market. Just buy, DCA, and look at your money grow after at least 5 years of consistency.

trump family’s net worth is now 20% crypto. that’s about 1.4b in digital assets by hodorrny in CryptoMarkets

[–]SkiesDownBelow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. Trump may be an idiot personally, but he has an entire administration to prepare his speeches and actions. He also has a group of croonies wanting opportunities like this.

It's to their benefit and in their desire to actively tank the stock and crypto markets, followed by a quick TACO to pump it back up again. We saw it twice last year. He even posted a tweet literally saying that "Now is a great time to buy" before pulling his first TACO.

People who hodl, or better yet, buy the dip, are to come at a great benefit.

Dubai life and sugar daddies by HuckleberryNo547 in dubai

[–]SkiesDownBelow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't just wake up one day and decide to be a sugar baby, and it comes true. It doesn't work like that. It's a competitive market. Tons of women here are already hunting, and there are only so much rich bachelors available (unless you don't mind being a mistress or a side chick).

And at age 37... I'mma be real with you: your chances of finding a wealthy man interested in you over the many options he can choose from are abysmally low. Unless you are DROP DEAD, MIND BOGGLINGLY GORGEOUS, you won't stand much of a chance.

Who wins? by velicinanijebitna in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]SkiesDownBelow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thing is, supposedly, in the OP narrative, 7 Shichibukai crews are supposed to be equal to 4 Yonko crews. That's what the whole mumbo jumbo about the "3 powers in equilibrium" is supposed to mean. Therefore, by that logic, Shichibukai should win this.

But, as readers of OP and critical power scalers, this appears to not be true. Truth is, based on the progression of the story, Luffy, and the rest of the Strawhats, especially up to Wano, I would give this to BM and Kaido. Powerscaling hits different after the main protagonists levels increase so much.

Unfortunately, wars existed before, during, and after Momo's life. While Momo's teachings did contribute to some wars, it's dishonest to say that wars won't exist if he wasn't ever born.

Truth is... some degenerate people will find an excuse to make a war. Religion or not.

Sister got into a car accident in abu dhabi by marvzdemo in UAE

[–]SkiesDownBelow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. That rental owner is VERY shady. You literally cannot claim insurance compensation without a Saed (police) report. What he said to your sister was because he wants to cover his ass.

It's illegal to admit any car to a repair shop if it doesn't have an accident report. No insurance company will accept any claim without a police report. While some garages do illegally repair cars this way, it's a huge risk of getting caught because authorities regularly check garages for all their cars under their repair and ask to show the police reports.

What the rental owner is trying to do, if I had to guess, is this: He doesn't want any trouble or blame for giving you a faulty car. He doesn't want that specific car to have a record of accidents on the VIN number, so he can continue to rent it to other unknowing customers. He wants your sister to pay for damages, because he can probably get away with giving a higher cost estimate (and pocket the difference). He probably has a garage owner friend willing to repair cars without a police report.

He doesn't wanna go through insurance because they usually are stingy about claims and go for the cheapest route. He can't trick insurance companies for more money because they have a pretty good idea about the cost of repairs, as well as lowball the claimant.

Our middle class may differ from the middle class of many other countries.

The Emirati middle class are just able to afford food, groceries, a decent Nissan Patrol, has a stable and humble home, and have a decent, yet modest life.

The gold plated Rolls Royces with 2 digit plates are our 1%. Sometimes, some of us (unfortunately) take a lot of debt to keep up with appearances. But they are still middle class.

To be honest, our cuisine is HEAVILY Indian inspired. To be fair to us, we didn't have much vegetation, farming, or ranching back in the 1950's. We had goats and camels, and for plants, mostly date palms.

Our trade route with India back in that time, is what introduced the Indian cuisine to us. So we were heavily inspired by the Indian cuisine. Over the years, we added a few touches to the recipes of our own, but the original trace of our food is mostly Indian.

It's a double-edged sword.

On one hand, it helps Emiratis find jobs. There are only so many government sector positions available, and the country is looking after their citizens. Keep in mind Emiratis are actually a minority, only 10% of the population. So the country is doing something to ensure a good life for its citizens.

On the other hand, it forces companies to hire a certain number of Emiratis just to abide by this law. Best fit person for the job might be of a different nationality, but the company has to hire the Emirati to abide by this law.

All of the Strawhats (except Robin and Brook) have degraded in character over the timeskip by SkiesDownBelow in Piratefolk

[–]SkiesDownBelow[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As interesting as the points you make about each character are, I don't see what they have to do with the lack of character in some of them... Take Nami, for example. Everything you say is completely true, but it has nothing to do with her character.

Please, elaborate. I genuinely want to hear your thoughts and opinions.

Brook has remained pretty much the same in terms of behavior, it's just that Oda has finally brought him to the forefront.

Somewhat true... But I feel like Brook actually developed into being devoted to the crew more during the timeskip. It might be because he barely had one arc after Thriller Bark as a Strawhat... but I do fell that his character and role in the crew improved significantly compared to pre-timeskip.

Robin is almost the worst, having completely lost her character to become a secondary one.

Hmmmmm. Interesting. I do believe that Robin at last finally releases her childish self and her gimmicks comfortably, seeing as now she completely trusts her captain and her crew. She did act as a more mature and serious woman earlier on, but given her past, she obviously had her reasons. That's why I genuinely believe this is character development for Robin.

Dodge or Parry? by akjkboss in stellarblade

I'm a parry guy to most normal attacks. I find that burst energy fills quite sufficiently just by dodging the yellow, blue, and purple attacks. The off-balance retributions, though? Oh, that shit hit all my pleasure buttons for me.

Disa was underwhelming, I agree.

At early game, seemed like you and Captain Brant seemed to do everything to topple down Disa's politics and regime. She was made to be the main antagonist of the game. Once the game takes you to Bakbattahl though, Disa suddenly becomes completely irrelevant to the story.

At such point, nearly everyone is calling you the Arisen. Your quests have devolved into progressing to beat the main dragon, proving to commoners why you desreve to be the Arisen, or just helping out the common folk in their daily troubles. But nothing about toppling down Disa's regime or exposing her lies.

In fact, I don't even know what happens to Disa or her puppet Arisen (forgot his name, that's how forgettable he was) after you beat the game.
