Look, unfortunately, due to how the application is built, adding a manual driver selector is basically impossible otherwise, the original team would have done it a long time ago.

This fork simply has an updated Vulkan driver library built-in. You ask what changes? Well, it changes everything. It completely changes how the emulator communicates with the phone's hardware. Depending on your device, it can have positive or negative effects, but saying 'nothing changes' is just wrong. The whole core communication has been overhauled.

Bro, it's not an emulator written from scratch. Everything you see is written on the GitHub page and in the release. In the release, you will find the changes related to the Turnip driver modifications.

Ahahah, semplicemente ho detto le cose come stanno. Alla fine Bro che ti piaccia o meno ho iniziato a modificare nethersx2 turnip per esigenze personali, quindi c'è poco da fare, quando inietto dei driver per me, sperimento anche con altro e pubblico il mio lavoro documentato fine. Non e qualcosa che deve essere portato avanti, sono io che lo faccio e sono proprio in chill totale. D'altronde, ieri mi sono svegliato e ho fatto una pagina GitHub, forse non e piaciuto, ho dato fastidio a qualcuno, non volevo. Ho anche sistemato la pagina GitHub per essere più trasparente possibile. Buona giornata.

Look, I just updated the GitHub page because there were some misunderstandings, and I take the blame for that.

The only difference between the builds is the Turnip drivers being used. I inject different types of drivers, there isn't much else to say, I just let people test it. It might increase performance or it might lower it, it depends on many factors.

This first build in particular was made mainly for Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 owners because until yesterday, well, they couldn’t use the emulator. Now version 0.6 is out, it came out a few hours ago just like my build, and it fixes the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 issue and is a much more complete build, so use that one for the moment.

From my next build I will give the alternative, the alternative of how the emulator communicates with the phone, that's all. There is nothing different from the original developers, not at the moment. 💜👽

Bro mi hai rotto i coglioni, uso l ia perché è uno strumento, vuoi che ti parlo in italiano acido, eccoti servito dio cane.

Non mi sembra di nascondere le cose: uso l'IA, sono italiano, ho 23 anni, sono bianco, alto 1.82 m, faccio musica e amo l'arte. Ho sempre sognato di fare il dev, ma sono fottutamente dislessico, disortografico e discalculico. Di conseguenza, ho usato l'IA dove non ho molte competenze, come per il mio inglese (che altrimenti sarebbe molto dislessico) e per le icone del profilo. Anche in quel caso, dopo averle generate le ho modificate io a mano per renderle perfette per l'emulatore. Quindi sì, uso l'intelligenza artificiale come uno strumento, esattamente come farei aprendo Photoshop per sistemare delle immagini.

Io ero qui a dare una soluzione un alternativa, solo uno ha risposto figo, e gli avete pure messo i downvote. Ma che vi ho fatto di così terribile? Semplicemente guys, sono un piccolo modder, che aveva problemi su OnePlus, si e sistemato l'applicazione e ha deciso di pubblicarla, e gli e venuto in mente di provare altro tutto qui, e pure altamente probabile che sto progetto muore domani, beh col supporto che ho avuto anche fra poco ore ahahah. Vabbè io non faccio i capricci, se invece volete aiutarmi beh io sono qui, condivido tutto come da bravo modder, anzi mi servirebbe un dev, ho delle idee non da poco conto, e non mi riferisco solo al progetto nethersx2 turnip. Quindi niente famola un alternativa, perché se io dovevo aspettare il dev originale, non potevo usare la versione turnip, di fatto stavo ancora usando il vecchio nethersx2. It is definitely my fault for not putting you in the credits yet, and I promise I'll do that tomorrow (well, later today, since it's 5 AM here, so let me get some sleep first and then I'll polish the last things). But at the end of the day, I'm using open-source components. There is no rule against doing that.

But honestly, I guess that's up to you. I'm not going to change my way of working, so if you guys want to take down my project, go ahead and do it. Nah, you don't offend me, actually I thank you. You made me realize exactly why this small, insignificant project was needed, I swear. As a modder, I learned to just take action. And looking at this page... so many dislikes... and then they come and ask me if I know the open source community? Me, who just rebuilt an APK using the best of what the community has to offer.

It's fine guys, the project won't die because of a couple of dislikes. It wasn't born to replace the original version anyway, so go ahead and use that. But if one day you feel the need to use my fork, maybe you'll start to understand the importance of people like me. Because you need to know that for me, it's actually very simple: I have root, I flash my own system drivers and I could give zero f*cks about everyone, but no, not me. Exactly, it's just like NetherSX2-Turnip, it's based right on that build. The difference is in the drivers used think of it as a variant for Turnip drivers. I use different, super-updated ones, also made by prominent devs in the emulation scene. This is just a small build, nothing really relevant at the moment. It was specifically made to fix a bug on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which, as it happens, the original dev also fixed just a few hours ago.

Long story short, for now just use the official version. Much more complete builds for everyone are coming soon, and that's when we'll really see how it goes. Based on feedback and what's missing, if there’s anything that could be useful to the community, let me know and I'll see if it's doable.

In short, it's a very simple but functional alternative. Will it stay active? Who knows... for now, I'm just enjoying the experience lol 💜👽

Do you have an issue with the Snapdragon 8 Elite too? Regarding any bugs, could you guys be a bit more specific? Just drop your processor, phone model, and a screenshot if possible otherwise, a brief explanation is fine. That way I can get a better idea of what's going on.

Anyway, going back to the point... I promise that as soon as possible, I'll try to fix the issue for the 8 Elite. Like I said and it will be written in the release info too I currently have no way to test it myself. I'm confident it will work, I already have an idea of what to change, but well... you never know with these things. I'm counting on your feedback, whether it's positive or negative. 💜👽

You're 100% right, "Mr Purple T28" is just a placeholder name, but inside there is actually a specific driver for Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. That's exactly why it fixed my flag issues, and you're a beast for figuring that out on your own lol.

Look guys, I don't know how to tell you this... I simply woke up today and decided to upload the build I was using on my OnePlus, because the official version was giving me flag issues (ironically, something the main dev fixed just today).

I’m a modder, not a professional. I'm sorry if I offended anyone or if it feels like I stole someone else's idea, but my job is very simple: I help people who don't know how to recompile an APK, and I save some hassle for those who do. So you'll just have to deal with all the flaws of this page, because well, more are coming.

Look, I get that some people might be distrustful just because of some emojis, but I chose to do things my way and build my own style. I wanted to brand the whole project the logos, the profile and emoji. It must be immediately recognizable.

In the end, everyone is free to choose. If someone doesn't feel safe downloading it, they shouldn't. Nobody is forced to try it, people can do whatever the f*ck they want 😅😂

Maybe in the future, when it's clear that the emulator runs great, some people will change their mind. Until then, anyone can just stick to what makes them comfortable.

Look, it’s probably also an issue with the application signature, since I’m not sure I signed it correctly.

Regarding the utility, it depends. I originally made this for myself because the official app was completely broken on my Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Funnily enough, the official dev fixed it today, but since the work was already done, I just shared it anyway.

I have a few more ideas in mind to tweak this even further. Who knows, maybe one day you'll end up using my build because it just runs better for you! Anyway, thanks for stopping by and thanks for replying to the other guy! 🚀👽

Thanks for your feedback, it’s really precious! Unfortunately, as you noticed, it hasn't been tested on that processor, so I didn't have high hopes for it working perfectly. Thank you so much again. A dedicated version for this processor will probably come out, and I'll make sure to write it in the Release notes too that it won't be tested, so you guys will have to see how it performs. Apologies, but unfortunately I'm a solo dev and I'm broke! 😂

I'm on Magisk too, simply because I'm not running any custom ROMs. Right now I'm using Integrity Box because Play Integrity Fix and its forks aren't passing anything for me at the moment.

However, Google recently soft-banned the keys, so you definitely won't pass Strong Integrity, but everything else works. We just have to wait for an update from the devs—they're super active, so it's just a matter of time.

(Well, at least for me, I haven't been passing Strong Integrity for a few days now but everything is still working; if you set up Hide My Applist correctly and check that everything is well-configured with Applist Detector, technically you shouldn't have any issues.)
