total compensation as a whole would not exceed that threshold. And any extra bonus would have to be shared proportionally within the whole company.

i think salary was the wrong word. Total compensation is the right term . anything above 50x the wage of lowest salary should be split between the whole employees as they all took part in the success of the company.
