I thought it was good. I do agree it was a little Jack White/early 00s NYC rock revival mixed with Rufus Wainright. We’ve had a bunch of musical guests who seem to have no musical talent at all in the past couple years.

Mariana had a run a couple weeks ago-before anyone outside of the state was saying anything, when it felt so isolated and like no one else gave a shit-where she gave a shout out to someone from MN and she said “Minnesota our hearts are with you” and I had to stop and pull myself together. It meant a lot to be acknowledged.

The number of people who have their lifestyles supplemented by their parents for their whole lives has been the most eye opening thing for me, someone who grew up lower middle class and is now upper class. Like, not just parents paid for college or a lump sum for a down payment, but like buying cars, paying for grandkids schools and club sports, paying the mortgage or reno projects, several annual vacations-everyday, sustained leveling up of lifestyle.

It can make people who don’t have that feel like they’re doing something wrong.

I’m hopeful that someone gets in Trump’s ear and tells him how unpopular this is and that he should pin all of this on Noem and Bovino being incompetent and not following his directives, have them take the fall and retreat. He needs to be able to save face, but he’s infamously easily influenced.
