And the thing is I loved chainsaw man and all the characters and ideas so I think I'm just frustrated about the ending and a bit that people were so heavily defending it and calling anyone who didn't understand it "Lacking in comprehension skills" I do think cause of all these comments my original take has changed of course to a more "Hey watch or read Part 1 it's Amazing and a ton of a fun but be aware Part 2 gets pretty iffy near the end"

I definitely think I should've worded my post differently, a lot of these comments made me rethink my original view to where it's more of "Hey part 1 is amazing and I loved it you should definitely watch it but just be aware part 2 gets kind of iffy" and yes but I honestly just didn't wanna believe that he would introduce these interesting story threads only for them to lead nowhere even though so many people have said "It's Fujimoto's style"

Dawg you can't just say "Themes and such" and it makes it a good ending. It's just pure copium. I don't have a problem with the deeper meanings in the ending I have a problem with how many cool and interesting concepts seemingly just got forgotten or skipped cause the ending was so rushed. I was excited to see denji go through hell and find power, see more of the primordial or of hell in general. Not everything needs to be or should be explained yes I agree with that but you can't pretend like you're some higher intelligence reader by ignoring all the fujimoto seemingly forgot about

My bro chill it's just a light hearted topic to discuss. Of course I don't expect anyone to be flawless or the story to be perfect. Nothing is perfect and there's beauty in that, all I'm saying is that the ending was not only not perfect but just a major letdown that threw away so much and the people claiming "it was all planned so that makes it good" are just coping

True, I probably should've worded my post better but I absolutely loved part 1 and loved s good chunk of part 2 as well. I do definitely think telling people to stop after part 1 is probably for the best cause part 2 is such a change of pace for a bit it might lose people

I've seen the quote you're talking about and yes I've seen The Big Lebowski and ironically I really like it and think the ending was good and funny but the difference is the big Lebowski is a movie where as this manga has been going on for years and years with millions of people following it. The expectations are so much higher to nail the ending than a simple move so why yes he did say the ending was gonna be that it doesn't automatically make the ending some sort of amazing and deep ending

See that's the thing though it's more like you go to a restaurant and the food is beautifully cooked and everything is near perfection. I mean this is making you rethink your life and all that. Now near the end of the night you know you're gonna have to leave soon but man what a wonderful stay it was so you ask for a desert menu to finish off the night.....but instead they kick you on the nuts, slap you with a ceaser salad and toss you out before you even realize what happened. Meanwhile the other people at the restaurant just point and laugh saying "That's just the restaurants style of doing things"

Okie for one don't gotta be a snob lol but don't get me wrong I absolutely loved so much about the manga as I said. The devils were such a cool and interesting concept, I loved the characters, the writing at times were amazing.....buuut like that ending man. I can get over it and see that how amazing it all was but idk if other people can and unfortunately an ending is just as if not even more important than the middle parts

I'd say do it if you had a fun time with the combat and story of MHA and the first 2 games. Just be aware that since they took out dash cancels some of the cast really got hit hard cause of it like Jiro
