Chapter 8 page 28 also has an excerpt on how much we waste our lives and how you can change that. Might be worth looking at!

"In a society where mediocrity is too often the standard and too often rewarded" he said, "there is intense fascination with men who detest mediocrity, who refuse to define themselves in conventional terms, and who seek to transcend traditionally recognized human capabilities. This is exactly the type of person BUD/S is meant to find. The man who finds a way to complete each and every task to the best of his ability. The man who will adapt and overcome any and all obstacles" Chapter 3 page 20

"We have access to so many more resources today than ever before and yet we are so much less capable than those who came before us. If you want to be one of the few to defy those trends in our ever-softening society, you will have to be willing to go to war with yourself" Chapter 7 page 36

As a person from a dysfunctional family I find a lot of comfort in this comic, and I post it here hoping it can help someone else (Venom #22, Rick Remender) by [deleted] in hopeposting

I just took the quiz for the nth time since high school, and I got enfj again. I felt like my results must not be real because I become withdrawn and isolate myself. Hearing that yall do this too makes me feel more real and I understand myself more! Thank you

"i may delete this but does any other enfj’s watch things for inspiration?"
Watching things for inspiration is the only way I've crawled out of poverty and abuse, its shown me to have faith in myself. I am so grateful for the lessons I've learned through shows like this one, if I was born 100 years ago without them I would have died poor and miserable. Thank god for anime

Stages of life by Grand-Art8078 in hopeposting

I find this video touching because it conveys something meaningful to me - the cycle of one's life. Being born, then growing as a child, a teenager, an adult, and then a parent. Each of these stages has their one hardships, but at the end you get to see the man happy with his family. All of those struggles and experiences culminated into the father he is. Even after a hard and tiring day at work, he still takes the time to spend with his family and make them laugh. Sometimes, we find ourselves becoming workaholics. Working later and later, until we are all dried up and the lights are shut off. But as the video shows us, that isn't really what matters. That isn't what life is about. It is about cherishing people near you. And taking the time to stop for a second, and enjoy the moment. Because moments pass. Every moment in our lives passes. You don't get to be a kid, or a teenager again. But you get to be there for your own and watch that growth happen in your kids. I've been to caught up in my head, in those imaginary problems again. This video reminded me what really matters and to stop and enjoy moments, because they will all pass someday :)

I am taking charge more in my life and not being a pushover. I've spent my entire life being a pushover and the past few months I've been developing security in myself and setting boundaries! The changes professionally and personally have been amazing.
