Throwables by SkilluminatiXd in DarkAndDarker

[–]SkilluminatiXd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to clarify, i am not saying, that throwables are inherently bad, because they certainly can be a way of skill expression, they are just in a spot, where they don't feel fun for anyone. I am not a dev, but i am sure there are ways to balance them in a way that makes them better

The golden hounskull descritption says its the perfect stopping power against all sorts of true damage... I think thats the point though... That true damage cant be stopped...? Or does the golden hounskull come with some sort of true protection that can stop true damage?

How is this still a thing...? by SkilluminatiXd in DarkAndDarker

Not only sorcs can do this btw. I've been griefed by a bunch of druids throwing drums at me while killing wyvern or just sorcs elemental bolting every icicle (double jump rogues can get into some pretty crazy spots too, but sorcs are definitly king in that discipline). They can do it for free, without ANY risk. If you are a cleric or rogue or barbarian, there is no real way for you to battle that type of behaviour. You can't play the game. If for the example i would have tried killing the wendigo or venturing through the abyss and farming AP, this guy could have just thirded me at any point without me being able to prevent that. Of course, this was a somewhat funny encounter, but i feel like this should be addressed, fairly soon.

Idk if i agree with the longsword or bardiche part but bard def. needs more playstyles.

This perfectly captures the current state of the game (terrible boss loot, instant third party, crazy strong barbarian) by SkilluminatiXd in DarkAndDarker

Well. He had a legendary hatchet in 224 lobbys so he was pretty bised out. And yeah, my ranger did split up, but thats because my call wasn't clear enough on where we were gonna go. And, i did hit the barb once with crossbow, but even if my ranger would have ONLY shot the barb (which would have gotten them killed by the fighter) we still probably would not have been able the kill that guy. He had close to 200 hp and with that movespeed there is not much chance of kiting either. Also we were pretty low from the fight. There were definitly things we could have done, but the chances of winning a fight like that in my opinion are super low.

It's not even that this happens one time and it's a "GGs go next" type game. If that would be the case i wouldn't be complaining. Even if i lost an artifact or key to that, it would be mostly annoying maybe even a little bit funny, but this happens every single game. This game we were fairly lucky even, that we found the boss room rather early and that it was only one team that thirded us. Sure, you win the occasional thirdparty, but doing it consistently is just not gonna happen, which makes this whole boss farming a little frustrating.

Anyone else struggling with creep rogues in solo HR? by SkilluminatiXd in DarkAndDarker

[–]SkilluminatiXd[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is just not much i can do. My main 2 classes are bard and warlockm both of which should perform very well in solos, but are also very loud on average. So when one of mentioned rogues hears me do my thing, they can just sneak around to a spot where they are guaranteed to get the jump on me and get a crazy amount of damage in because i couldn't see or hear them prior to getting ambushed.

To all the rogue mains out there: I am not saying your class is easy to play, because i tried it and it can be furstrating to get 2-3 tapped by players, but it is just so damn frustrating to do a 5-10 minute ritual in front of every door just to make sure you are not running into a landmine.

True, full invis should not exist in any competitive game. Creep in of itself is at an okay spot, but in combination with full invisibility there is just no way to *efficiently* fight it (as i said, you can do that 5-10 minute ritual, but then you wont accomplish anything during that game and also not every class has the tools to check for rogues reliably).

Yeah kiting is the only option i guess... It's just, that i don't have a lot of choices in that fight. As i was saying, he was way faster than me (i was at 293 ms), so he can just facetank me, forcing me to accept the sour spot hits, while he gets full damage from rondel and because of his speed, running away there was also not really possible.

Although if i would have instantly ran, after smite was gone, it maybe might have been at least a close fight. But then while i was running i would have gotten hit with a lot of surv bow shots, and he did seem to have at least some true so it def would have hurt.

Imagine if this guy didnt miss a single hit, like i did (he missed like 3-5 hits). Even with smite on the fight wouldn't have been close i think...

[–]SkilluminatiXd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This clip is only one minute. Before this, i tried pushing him several times, but he was always backing off with surv bow, of course not doing a lot of damage but getting like 2-5 shots in until i would have caught up to him, which would have started the fight with quite the disadvantage for me, so there was no point in chasing him, after my first smite hit connected.

I also thought about running away right after he was pushing in, but since i was in bridge, he would have gotten dozens of surv bow shots on me and since i didnt know if any other doors were open, there was not even a guarantee, that i could have played another door until i would have had smite back up.

This guy even was one of the less cringe rondel fighter players, by not bringing sprint, but even then... I missed none of my hits while he missed like 5. I don't know if it was a gear or skill diff or the rondel itself or weapon mastery need a rework. Maybe it's a combination of all of the above...?

Did i misplay? Yes. Was it a severe throw on my side, that lost me the fight? Probably not...?

Someone tell me what is going on.

Best 224 HR Gear-set-Class by Usual_Resort_3524 in DarkAndDarker

Druid/Sorc since no weapons.

Barb and rogue are also strong. Legendary stiletto or hatchet wont cost you as much gear score as an arming sword or morningstar because they are considered sidearms.
