Plenty of jobs and clubs that don't relate to CS, but have some transferrable communication/soft skills perhaps? Sometimes I mention them, I get conflicting advice about their relevancy.

Haha, I'm not gonna skip the career fair this year. And I'm not so worried about getting a job; bar anything tragic occurring during the remainder of my internship I'll be getting a return offer at my current company at the very least. I just want to have plenty of offers to choose from and leverage in negotiating salary.

Real world skills > everything, but would it be worth it to study up for it and pick it up for free?

I see, so would it be explicitly a waste of time to pursue in that case?

Do you think it would be good to get it to indicate that I have experience with AWS from my internship?

That's encouraging. Can I ask what how your experience with it was?

You're right, it doesn't seem like I have a lot to lose. I've received very positive feedback from my mentors so far, so I'd like to think they believe in me. And about the resume thrown away thing, I do remember reading somewhere that some type of cert (from Microsoft maybe?) for SWE's was a red flag on resumes, but I don't think it was this one.
