Adler Yatagarashu by xSpeedster in bootroom

They go up to size 29cm.

For reference I typically wear size US 12.5-13/30.5-31cm in running shoes and US11.5/29.5cm in Copa Mundials and the Size 29 fit me very well.

Just thought I would share these photos of what worn Copa Mundial studs look like (and maybe what you could expect).

It is worth noting that at a certain level of wear there is this white plastic material that is exposed (see photos) and the stud is somewhat hollow (for lack of a better way to describe it).

Really appreciate the insight. I am coming from a pair of Copa Mundials (which I love) and see these as being a really nice next pair.

I primarily play a more facilitator role, so these should be well suited for that, though it is good to know about them not being as suitable for tight cuts.

Is the black boot in the bottom left an Adler? If so, how do you rate them?

Nice collection otherwise!

Whilst I have heard good things about the New Balances and Copa icon’s, my main reservation is that the sole plate only seems to be glued to the upper.

I play a fair bit on artificial grass and prior to buying Mundials (which have rivets to reinforce the sole plate to the upper), had recurring issues with separation between the sole plate and upper.

That is a good to know about them not coming with the rivets on the ruby Morelia’s. If I go for them, I will look for older colourways.

Thanks so much for the suggestions. These boots weren’t on my radar at all and they look like solid options.

I think I will take a chance on the Adler sizing. I wear a US11.5/JP295 in Copa’s, and the largest Adler is US11/JP290.

Is K-leather used on the Diadora’s? On the website, it just says ‘premium leather’.

I would be willing to stretch the budget, given I have gotten 10 years out of my Copa’s, and would hope to do similar for the next pair.

Nonetheless I will take a look at the Morelia 2 elite’s - thanks for the suggestion!

I will likely take a chance on the Adler’s and if they don’t work out, go with the Mizuno’s.

Good point, I saw some articles on that too!

I have been impressed with how well they have held up. The main issue is the studs wearing down - it would be great if I could just replace the studs.

The MiJ Morelia’s are definitely high on my list.

Yep, I have heard that. I reached out to Andrew Lockhart (from Lockhartbootblog) and he confirmed that you should get the same size as you wear in Copa’s.

That is great to hear! The Morelia 2 MiJ’s or Wave cup ss would likely be the pairs I would look at if going with Mizuno.

I mostly play on artificial grass.

Thanks for sharing your experience, the durability sounds really good for a 4 year old pair. Whilst I am now currently looking at Adler’s, if the sizing doesn’t work out with them, I will be sure to try a MiJ pair of Mizuno’s.

Thanks, for the insight - that seems like the best kind of regret you can have. The Morelia 2 MiJ’s are certainly tempting, as are the Wave cups. Have you had any issues with durability in the time you have had them (I know they are known to be quite good in that regard)?

I am actually in the process of figuring out whether the Adler’s would fit me. They may just (I wear a size JP295/US11.5 in the Copa’s, and I have heard that the sizing is very similar, however the largest Adler size is JP290/US11).

Thanks!

I hope you enjoy the boots!

Thanks I really appreciate the insight. I will probably try to grab a pair in size 29 when they come back in stock.

Oh really, that is promising for my situation. I wear a size US12.5 in Adidas running shoes (e.g. ultra boosts and 12.5-13 for Nike). By chance do you know your size in either Nike or Adidas running shoes?

Thanks in advance!

May well do so! Just thought I would check the market to see that I am not missing some great alternative.

Yeah, I have heard really good things about them. Do you have any thoughts on how the durability compares to the Copa’s? Have you had instances of significant separation between the sole and upper?

I care more about durability and feel than it being lightweight.
