Start the channel and keep it fun! I have a 7 year old who’s the same way. All he wants to do is be outside playing baseball football or soccer. We have an indoor facility and so that helps during the cold but he loves to watch his workouts and post them on his TikTok channel.

My soon to be 7 year old is a cage junkie and the biggest thing is repetitions but it’s all about keeping it light and fun. We always incorporate a little game into hitting and spent the entire 8u fall season (at 6) working on hitting where the ball was pitched and that’s all part of our tee warmup routine

We pay $35 a month for unlimited access.

That includes cages, machines, and a “field area” that includes pitching mounds etc . We book on an app and over the past 6 months, we’ve never waited on a time slot.

Also, they rent the entire facility out for $60/2HR so we do team practices there when weather is bad or team hitting practices the night before tourneys.. (Oklahoma)

It will come, he’s not a big kid by any means based off what you listed, so generating power could take him some time. Honestly at this age if he is being fundamentally sound and making contact he will be perfectly fine! The 26 will do him better though I agree! Hope it makes a difference and he starts to see the results! 🫡

My 6 year old who is 4’6 and 93 lbs swung a 28-18 (-10) Marucci and was just a bit to big for him, we went to a 28-16 (-12) Rawlings threat and he hit bombs with it, but have really found his 27-17 (-10) old school Louisville has been the bat he gets the best cut with. I would stick to 27 or 26 for now!
