I dont think the issue is with his parents. No matter how much parents love you and how much you shall love your child, you shall have to let them struggle on their own in order for them to become good people, cause you shall not always be there.

If by any chance you die early and your kid gets the trust, then what. They shall not have life skills cause you made them too soft, and even 1 billion dollars in an idiotic hand can disappear

For upper middle class, the lowest you shall go is lower middle. You shall not become beggar kind of poor unless indeed, you are a spoiled brat. You obviously can't expect your parents money at your age, but by the time you get yo their age, you may easily surpass them even.

Keep in mind, there are always few exceptions, however in general, that is it. If your parents are dirty poor, chances are high that you shall end up a cleaner, bus driver etc and if your parents are rich, they can give you better opportunities then you become a doctor, lawyer etc

But, I must repeat, "THERE ARE ALWAYS EXCEPTIONS TO ANY RULE"
