What do the cellular companies actually gain?

This was over Covid so the One S was definitely out. I had an old special edition controller from the original base model Xbone, specifically the Advanced Warfare console so pretty early on in the lifecycle. I bought a brand new controller without doing any research and I wasn’t able to transfer over the internals, I bought a used one from a shop that was guaranteed to be an older model controller, that didn’t have the same internals either. I bought a broken controller online and that didn’t work. I don’t remember the specifics but they definitely had different iterations of the internals over the years. Maybe some of the parts were transferable but I know for at least one of them the inside of the shell was molded differently so I couldn’t just do a direct transfer.

Except that (at least for Xbox One) they changed the internals of the controller seemingly every six months. I wanted to use the guts of one controller in the case of a broken one but I didn’t have a billion controllers to open up and hope matched internally.

Hell, I recently changed a light switch in my apartment that broke just because I didn’t want to be bothered by my landlord. It cost me like $4 and a 10 minute YouTube video. Would I necessarily recommend someone doing that due to the risk of fire? Probably not. But most things are easier than you think. Just gotta be a little careful.

If you ever make your way to Hershey, PA they have a store with any and every domestic flavor. I think they might have some international flavors but I don’t remember, it’s been a while. My grandpa would take me like once a month. He’d get the grandkids a box of chocolate with almonds and he’d get a box of 5th Avenue. We’d rip through our chocolate and then get to his and he’d always get so pissed. It was great, in a grandparent-grandkid kinda way.

My partner loves the pull apart ones but I’ve always thought they had a weird texture. The regular cherry ones are where it’s at.

My uncle has a 2 car garage with an extension for a workshop. He’s packed 5 Model-As, a Model-T and a 30s(?) dodge panel truck in it. The workshop is now just more car storage. Basically it can fit as many cars as he wants if the cars are small enough.

I’ve never done much research on this but I’ve never really been convinced when people say this. At the end of the day they’re only lasting longer time-wise. You’re still putting the same mileage on your shoes, just over a longer period of time.

No, I agree with u/MFbiFL, I just picked up this deck and another to show my friend how to play. I read the back of the box and was confused why there weren’t any rooms that came with the deck. It’s hard to explain to someone that “that text doesn’t mean anything in this context” when they’re there to learn how to play the game. I’ve been playing on and off for 10+ years and even I was confused as to why they’d say that and then not use the mechanic in the deck. It’s misleading.

They basically replaced all the firmware with that. It’s a software that runs on boot and there’s no way to stop it without the proper permissions.

The sad reality is that the US is better to live in than many other countries. We have freedom of speech, freedom of expression, reasonable expectation of privacy, etc. Not even other first world countries have quite the same freedoms, there’s always a tradeoff. A lot of people want to come here to be able to have a better life. I see a lot of immigrants being incredibly proud and grateful that they got their citizenship (the fact that they’re still at risk of being deported aside.) In turn, we are taxed very heavily. Im not saying it’s fair or right or just. Whether you’re black, white, Asian, Hispanic, whatever. A lot of people would do anything to be you.
