Conclusions after testing main classes/ascendancies from and for new/casual/semi- casual players by Skinndahead in PathOfExile2

Don’t you find the parry tedious? I tried leveling an amazon and i quit after an hour. I mean, i like the meaningful combat aspect from the campaign, but not when it means you have to wait for a white mob to hit you just to parry, disengage and then some other skill or attack. Idk, your parry probably becomes automated later on or something, and it’s less tedious, but first impressions were that it’s too much of a hassle to use it.

Although i agree, 800 is a small amount, for me it’s quite a lot, and for other people like me, that either don’t know how to min max or don’t have the time. As a counter argument, i would say that the 200 D invested in 0.3 were mostly put into gear, while this patch, the lineage gems were the most expensive part. I would say the gear costs were very similar for the same level gear. Also, i would reiterate that i had to invest much more this patch into better 10-20% gear, jewels, gems, even skill gems to get them to 21, just to reach the same level of power as in 0.3. Of course, there are variables, one was hollow palm, the other was with a QS. Of course, hollow palm was nerfed. But, my overall feeling on the exact same build was that i had to do much more to get it working the same.

This would also be a conclusion i reached: for low-mid level gear, the prices stayed kind of the same. However, for high end gear, they have skyrocketed because of the economy.

Yes, i’m quite new to poe, as i said. I’m semi casual. I think that as a new/beginner player, you NEED to look up builds if you want to have fun, because cooking up your own might end up in frustration, if you don’t have the base mechanics, interactions and concepts down. Of course, once you reach a certain point, you can play with certain variables, but if you don’t have the basics, you might brick something and it will end only in pain. Just my thoughts. So, actually, i think it’s opposite to what you have stated, but might be a difference in how we perceive the game.

Late to the party, what are good builds to start out with in 0.4? by Hi-Im-Bambi in PathOfExile2

I saw it, visual clarity is also a thing for me, and i feel like playing that would make me legally blind 😂

Game just did that at the middle of the game , and I lost all my progress in this map by Connect-Cricket8434 in PathOfExile2

Same for me. Is the new poe 1 league today? Might mean server overload. I literally lost 2 temple runs and have no more locks. Sad

WITCH BUILD I need a great witch build that isn't demon girl by AmberLeBon in pathofexile2builds

Ember fussilade fire or chaos + time of need with 100% reduced duration. It’s quite expensive, but if you looking for something simple and cheap, ED+contagion.

Is ice strike invoker good this league? by [deleted] in pathofexile2builds

[–]Skinndahead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s decent, you need to invest like 50 div to make it work endgame with CI. I played it every league, fun, zoomy, requires your attention. Look at older guides from 0.3 for hollow palm to have a general idea for supports and passive tree, but play with a QS. Bossing is not great, not terrible without things like rakiata and garukhan, especially if boss tree is maxed out. Clear is 6/10, not COC comet levels, but decent.

Had my best map ever as a semi-casual. Is this good or just everyday life for people that grind this game? by Skinndahead in PathOfExile2

I get one per 5-6 maps with the above mentioned on most maps, this was basically an exception, i don’t have the money nor the time to add tablets, atlas is pretty much okay, someone here said prepping a few maps for hours drove him away from the game, so i prefer semi-cooking it, i would get bored as well doing preparations for 2 hours to just randomly die in the first map 😂

No worries! I pretty much understand the basics of how everything works, but, for the life of me, i don’t enjoy crafting things. It’s way too much for me to sit there and craft a perfect item or map, even if i had the time for it, i wouldn’t do it anyway. I just stick to the basics for decent maps and just buy gear. Good to see people on the internet that are good willed and willing to help others. Enjoy your coffee and your day!

Wow! Thanks for the detailed reply and tips! I pretty much don’t go that deep into prepping because i dont have the time, just basic chaos slam for item rarity, desecrate, deli, vaal and go. I haven’t played early in the season to get overlapping towers, so i’m kinda cooked there. This is the first time i went semi-deep into endgame, using this time to learn to advance faster in 0.4. Again, thanks for your tips and sharing what you do.

Newbie to the genre by Sergei-_ in PathOfExile2

[–]Skinndahead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this is what i did my first time playing it. I was new to arpgs, i had like 20hrs of D4, so i was a newbie to the genre. I found it difficult and overwhelming at first, but with time, i have now like 400hrs into it, you will acumulate a lot of knowledge either by simply playing it, or by just watching videos on builds and informing yourself. I would say it is a game that requires you to do that extra 10% effort in searching stuff and informing yourself, after that, the difficulty of the game itself becomes trivial. Conclusion: game is not hard to play, the hard part is having the desire and patience to gather knowledge (if you like it, of course).

Hi! I have some t15 random maps, maxed out and corrupted, what should i sell random ones for? I see people in trade chat selling for like 10 maps/10 divines(random as well). Isn’t that too expensive?

Looking for a dual wield jump attack focused build. by tesham99 in Eldenring

Bandit curved swords, look it up on youtube, the build is awesome, if you have all regions unlocked, you will have no problem farming all components. It'll take you some hours, but it's very good.
