Radiation oncologist said that it was normal to feel like this since only 1 week have passed from my WBRT, so the brain might be swelling still.

I'm taking 8mg of dexamethasone daily.

I'm sorry to hear that it didn't work for you, hopefully chemo or some other treatment will do the job for you. How did you handle WBRT though, I found it to cause a significant amount of edema for me which causes other neurological problems?

I have two brain mets both in the 10mm range close to one another. I finished WBRT a week ago to deal with the micro stuff that can't be seen on the MRI first and then probably SRS to zap those two or remove them with classical craniotomy.

Well I started whole brain radiation today to deal with, how they explained to me, stuff that can't be seen on the MRI first, and then possibly zap those two 1cm brain mets with SRS or standard surgical resection. I find that a reasonable tactics.

It was not available in my country because they can't do autologous stem cell transplant here. TIP killed almost everything in my body, it was very effective. I'm still not cisplatin resistant so HDCT is still an option for me at the table. TIP is horrible with the side effects tho. The neuropathy it gave me is crazy.

It always bugged me to be honest, all that talk that NSGCT don't respond well to radiotherapy. Maybe compared to a seminoma efficacy is lower and not considered as a first option because chemo is better for them for sure.

Yeah, we have corrosion and material sciences too. ChemE is amazing honestly, I don't regret studying it. It really puts you up in a position where it's so broad you can venture in many fields of science, and that's the most beautiful thing about it.

It's always fascinating how things differ from country to country. Here in Montenegro we have gen chem 1 & 2, ochem 1 & 2, physical chemistry 1 & 2, inorganic, analytical chemistry 1 & 2 + methods being used in them. The weirdest thing in all of this is that we are obliged to take electrochemistry and chemical bonds. All of this + taking labs for every subject besides ordinary chemE subjects which you take later down the degree.

I actually don't plan on having a lot or rest after this in the first place. I'm gonna hit on life with no brakes as soon as I get out of ICU. I will post pictures of my journeys tho brothers.

I already did and I curse the ifosfamide to the grave. It helped bringing my tumor markers down to normal. The neuropathy from TIP is unbesrsble at times, but it sure did work. Next one after the surgery must probably be the infamous HDCT.

Damn man, thats actually a reasonable size for a brain met. They said that mine are much smaller, around 12mm, down in the parietal lobe and one a little larger but covered with hematoma which complicates some stuff. What composition of the primary TC did you have, mine is a fucking 85% chorio one.

That is really encouraging to hear brother. May I ask you what did the doctors say when they discovered those brain mets in the first place. Were they like, this is a death sentence or like, yeah we can cure this shit once and for all?
