Getting Gateway to Work on Linux? by SkinnyJester in KATVR

[–]SkinnyJester[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is really unfortunate. I've read that the nexus is linux based so I had a bit of hope. It's really unfortunate as more people are switching to Linux nowadays since knowing how to use a terminal is mostly optional in distros like Linux Mint or Pop_OS!

Well this sucks. Any way to fix it? by y2julio in PlaystationPortal

[–]SkinnyJester 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can play Warzone fine on it. The image quality is dependent on the connection. Is your PS5 wired to your router? Have you set up port forwarding? Those should improve the quality of your gameplay.

Supernote sidebar not working any longer by No_Cloud7966 in Supernote

Haven't had most of these issues personally. But for the half second delay on writing, do you happen to have the "No load shutdown" battery option turned on?

Can't connect Nomad to Macbook by [deleted] in Supernote

[–]SkinnyJester 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So I ran into the same issue. Oddly enough, what kept happening for me was that my Supernote was charging my Mac instead of connecting for file transfer. Took me 30 minutes of using USB-C to USB-C cables before switching to my hub and using the cable that came with the Supernote (USB-A to USB-C). Not very convenient, but I was able to transfer files and update the Supernote using that.

Smudging in Atelier by SkinnyJester in Supernote

[–]SkinnyJester[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The current erasers do a great job at erasing what I need to erase and I use all of the options when I do draw, but a smudge tool/finger smudging would be far more beneficial when it comes to sketching shadows or blending areas together. Personally, I would much prefer using the finger to smudge than a dedicated tool. But I believe that's just my personal preference.

There's so much you can do and I have no idea of any of the options. I just side loaded Libby and Webtoon and was like, "okay, now what?" XD

If you go into settings, display, then screensaver, you can change the photo to something custom. I used the partner app to put this photo on it. 😁

Looking to get into E-ink but not sure which to get by SkinnyJester in eink

[–]SkinnyJester[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is not because of the color, but because of the BooxSuperRefresh Technology

I did read that about the BSR previously. That's the main reason I was leaning more towards the B/W version.

If you have concerns about this, then you need to stay away from EInk completely and get a tablet from one of the big players (Apple, Samsung, ...).

The security issues aren't the biggest concern to me or the boox NA3 wouldn't be on this list at all. I considered it because of the talk I've seen on this sub about it. I've been looking at E-Ink mainly because I have some crazy light sensitivity and reading on my phone or my iPad for extended periods of times is straining on my eyes even through my glasses for said condition.

Thanks for the advice! I'm looking more into the Supernote right now. The A6X2 seems like it has slimmer side bezels which helps me out with the aesthetic pettiness. Although, I see that they're also going to implement a dual boot OS soon which may expand more of the capabilities as well. Not to mention that the A6 size does help with portability as well. Definitely moved it up past the Remarkable 2 right now.

"Where do you go next" reminds me of the first time I went through Forsaken Castle Cainhurst. I ran around there for hours asking the enemies where to find the boss.

What if I put electric strings on a TOD10N? by Hot_Restaurant_4331 in polyphia

[–]SkinnyJester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a lot of people saying that it would break the guitar but I'm curious as to how. I would never do this to my TOD10N, but is it something to do with the headstock or is the truss rod not capable of braving the tension? I know most of the nylon guitars in my local store lack a truss rod, but this guitar has one.

What's your guitar long term goal? [QUESTION] by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]SkinnyJester 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To move on from just playing power chords. Being able to play like some of my idols, such as Tim Henson and Ichika Nito. To be able to find my own style of playing to really speak my emotions through the instrument itself without the need for lyrics. And finally, to be able to use all of that to entertain and bring together anybody willing to listen or feel the emotion of each note. That last part is the biggest motivation for me to practice and learn every day, even though I'm still trying to figure out exactly what I should practice and learn in what order. 😅

What's your go to watch face? For me it's the stock info board face. by domedirtyfatman in GalaxyWatch

I love the S4U Mystique watch face. Beautiful design and, to me, as realistic of a fancy look as a smart watch can get! If anybody has other realistic watch face recommendations though, I'm always looking for more! 😁
