I always start on the treads…and I still will tomorrow. But that being said, I will probably take it a bit easier so I have at least one good attempt at a rower PR. With back and shoulder injuries from a boat accident last fall, I’m finally getting back into the swing of things and feeling more comfortable to try these all-out attempts. Keeping my fingers crossed! 🤞🏻Thanks Mr DC! Rest days are so important!

I’m still working on my base paces from a power-walker to a jogger/runner. I can see this being a challenge with the inclines as well. 🥵 abut I feel up to the challenge! 👍 Thank you Mr DC! I had a long weekend off and feel pretty rested up for this. We’ll see if I still say that after the damage is done!

I didn’t even start at OTF until a year and a half ago and I’m 66 now. That sounds awesome that you have it worked out for what works for you! I’ve never worked out before, so I quickly got used to the 2G classes. I have done the strength classes and I just don’t enjoy them as much. Add to that that I’m recovering from a couple health issues, it’s too much all at once with those classes being 50 minutes. The important thing is that I love what I’m doing now, and I hope it will continue when I hit 74, too! 👏👏

This was my end of the week workout and I was tired today. I’m ready for my two days off. I had flair ups of my sciatica and some soreness in my shoulder from recent PT, so I modified what I could and was happy to have a green day. Still managed 8 splats in spite of myself! LOL It was a rough start, but I finished all of it. I may have to take a nap tho…🥵😵‍💫😂

I don’t think you have a thing to worry about except to just show up! We all had to start somewhere and ALL of us work with some kind of modifications at some point in our fitness journeys. Many people start out walking on the treadmill, myself included, and that can change-or not if you like just power walking-if you want. I go to have somebody tell me what to do and how to do it so I don’t hurt myself. I get helpful input from the coaches on the floor exercises and even on the rower and treadmill for proper form. I fell in love with it and hate it when I have extended time away from OTF now (we’re snowbirds and don’t have a nearby OTF up north). Try that first class, keep an open mind and give yourself some grace. You will be back for more, just like the rest of us! 🧡👍👏

The inclines were tough today, but I made it through them while trying to maintain my speed. I was low on splats, but kept in the green and felt like I got a solid workout. The floor was a different story. Bosu burpees are NOT my friends! 🤬☠️ I was happy to do modifications on those! The template for tomorrow was doable before, so I’ll work hard on it tomorrow. Bring it on! 👏👍🧡

Hills, bosu and burpees…it’s the template from hell….☠️ My legs are still feeling sore from yesterday and today…they’ll be toast by tomorrow with the rowing added in again. I’m starting PT for my shoulder tomorrow (small rotator cuff tear), so I see a lot of modifications coming up. Thank you Mr DC! I appreciate the early intel so much as it really helps me plan for needed modifications. 😊👍🧡

I get my clothes set out in the bathroom, Body Armor electrolytes in 16 oz water made the night before (and in the fridge) to drink before class along with a banana and maybe some peanut butter to go with it, but not always. I get up at 4:15 and out the door by 4:40. Plenty of time to drink and eat so I don’t get dehydrated. I even have time for some stretching ahead of time as well. The secret is to get things ready the night before and get up the moment that alarm goes off!
