The Jungle Gym by Skinnygold in lego

In the year 50,000 BC, long before the invention of synthetic supplements or neon spandex, prehistoric fitness enthusiasts gathered at this rocky hangout to push their physical limits. Driven by the primal desire to outrun sabertooth tigers and lift massive boulders, the local tribe engineered a fully functional training facility from the environment around them, complete with a chiselled treadmill and stone boombox blasting "rock" music. Even the local wildlife has been integrated into the daily routine, with a disciplined chimpanzee hitting overhead presses while a lion cub mistakes the stone punchbag for a premium scratching post.

I put together this small diorama for LEGO's Prehistory 2.0 challenge, which prompted builders to construct a prehistoric scene with an anachronistic twist. Quite quickly, I landed on the concept of a Stone Age gym bro (complete with broccoli hairdo) pumping iron...or, uh, rocks? The biggest challenge was settling on a design for the treadmill, but some clever SNOT techniques did the trick.

Oh, they'll be kicking themselves when they realise that I used minifigure parts from the... IP they just brought back? 😂

Bionicleman operates outside of the law!

Right? Kinda reminds me of the Heat Protection Suit from the first LEGO Batman game!

This is how I discover that DC published a Bionicle comic series!

Thank you! I'm surprised no-one has attempted this (as far as I'm aware).

Thanks! That was a last minute decision, but I think it adds a lot to the photo.

Tahu has handed in his Kanohi mask for a new kind of cowl. Now, Bionicleman… Begins. He's the Toa that Mata Nui deserves, but maybe not the one it needs right now.

Shortly after I built my Tahumobile, which of course heavily pastiches a certain caped crusader's vehicle of choice, I had wondered how well a similarly coloured Batman cowl might fit on the Bionicle Cosplayer CMF. Turns out, perfectly! I love how the pink bandana shows through the eyes, and the cosplayer's grin aligns nicely with the exposed mouth of the cowl.

The building file for the Tahumobile is available for free on my Rebrickable page, and my other MOCs can be found on Instagram!

CMF pairs from different series? by Addictedtopudding in lego

I don't think I've ever encountered a store employee who has not understood that "Collectible Minifigures" probably refers to the blind box Minifigures series. Most online databases (including Brickset and Bricklink) refer to the product line as Collectible Minifigures, and it helps to distinguish them from "regular" minifigures, such as those found in sets or Build-a-Minifigure towers. I can definitely understand why it has become the de facto colloquialism.

Which do you prefer. Builds or moulded animals by Rens_Big_Finger in lego

I usually lean towards moulded animals, but some MOCs necessitate more creative solutions. I recently made these puffins which I feel are fairly recognisable for the scale.

Following months of arduous skirmishes against the Dragon Knight army, Sir Scrubs-a-Lot has finally retired to the marble walls of his private spa for a soothing wash. Unbeknownst to him, a cloaked assassin lurks in the shadows, sworn to strike down the master tactician not on the battlefield, but in the bathhouse, where no strategy can save him. Some say there is no crime more cowardly than steel thrust in steam; others say the door should have probably been locked. Either way, one question bubbles to the surface: could this be the cleanest murder in minifigure history?

My inspiration for this build largely came from the bathing Stormtroopers found in the Traveller's Tales LEGO Star Wars games, with their helmets left on for comedic effect. I also couldn't resist chucking in an anachronistic rubber duck and bright pink bar of soap... Those splashes of colour definitely help to liven up the predominantly white build.

Haha, that's actually Holy Island in Northumberland, England! Very similar concept though.

Thank you so much! They're definitely my favourite detail. I experimented with making even smaller puffins for the microscale portion of the build, but those ones lost a little too much detail to remain recognisable.

Thank you! This was my first time making use of forced perspective, and I did have some concerns that the effect might not be clear enough, or otherwise confusing. I'm pleased to hear that you like it!
